Beverly's POV

Ben and I reached my house at 6:30 pm. 

     He escorted me back since he really wanted to. I kissed him on the cheeks and waved him goodbye as I went inside the house. 

     As soon as I entered it, Auntie was already on the sofa with her arms crossed. 

     "Beverly dear you got me worried" She hugged me tightly. 

"I-I'm going upstairs" I sighed heavily.

     She looked at me worriedly as she parted from me. I quickly locked my door and fell on the floor. 

     I couldn't understand why their parents were so interested in separating us. 

     Ben was almost going to leave. Eddie being kept away from us just like Stan was locked inside their house. Then Bill's parents were playing with his emotions.

It' all so confusing! It was too much.

     I held my head as I felt it ached. I let out a long sigh before standing up again. 

     I began packing my things afterwards. I took some of my clothes, then my savings and some other stuff that seem important. I wore my bag and went downstairs. 

     "Leaving again dearie? I'm cooking dinner tonight, why don't you stay for a while?" Auntie said as she was cutting some onions. 

     Just the thought of turning her down makes me feel bad. 

     "Mom I- I mean auntie, I have to go, I'm sorry" I said before turning away from her.  

     "Go where Beverly? Why it's already dark outside! What's with that backpack you're wearing? Are you having a sleepover with your friends? I thought I-" 

I silenced her off before she could finish her sentence. 

     "Auntie I'm sorry, I really am but you've got to understand me please. I have to be there for my friends. I-I can't live without them, you know that right? So please, just let me go without making this a painful farewell".

     I could feel my voice break with every quivering words that came out of my mouth. 

     Auntie cupped my chin slowly and then stroked the curls of my hair.

     "This is not goodbye Beverly, okay? I'm going to be here always. Just...promise you're going to be alright out there with them?" She sobbed at me. 

"I promise" I whispered as I gave her a hug. 

     After that I ran out of the house without even looking at her.

     As I made my way through the streets, I saw Ben approaching my direction on his bike. 

"Hop on Bev" He said as he made a quick drift. 

     I rode his bike and held on to him tightly. Running away was not easy. It was dangerous, exciting and confusing all at the same time. I know that I can take the risks myself. I just hope the others are okay with this.

     The others were all gathered on an old golf cart parked on Stan's backyard. I hopped out of the bike so I could go to them and see what they were doing.
Bill and Richie were hooking a metal chain on the small golf cart.

"Er what are you guys doing?" I asked. 

     "W-were breaking in t-to get Stan" Bill said as he tested the chain's strength.

I grabbed the cold metal and examined it. 

     "What's this got to do in getting Stan?" I asked again while pointing out the things they were doing.

     "Were breaking in like literally smashing his window, okay?" Richie said. 

     I was puzzled at first and then when it hit me, I was not suprised at all.

     Richie threw the end of the chain to Eddie who then passed it onto Mike.

     Eddie held the ladder as Mike went up and hooked the chain on Stan's window. 

     "Guys if somebody caught us we're dead!" Ben said as he tried to keep his voice as low as possible. 

"They wouldn't listen to me" Eddie retorted. 

     I crossed my arms as I tried to think on how they will pull this off. 

     "H-hop in e-everyone!" Bill yelled as he started the engine.

All of us jumped in and then Bill drove the car forward.

     "I can't believe that we're gonna break his windows!" I screamed. 

"H-hold on tight everyone!" Mike yelled. 

The engine roared and Stan's window was pulled apart!
