I had fallen asleep while I was crying. This really stung a bit.. Why did I live, but not my parents or Isabelle..? If I had the ability to resurrect them, I would.. But unfortunately, there was nothing I could do about it.. And I was deeply traumatized by the events that occurred. Being the sole witness of a murder...
"Salvatore? Are you okay?" The doctor asked me softly as I looked at him and nodded softly. I tried hard to pretend I was fine, when really I wasn't.. I wanted to find out who set up my family for murder.. And I would give them a taste of their own medicine.
"I know what you're planning, Salvatore.. Don't go through with the plan. Don't you want your family to be peacefully resting?" Father Jeremiah asked me as I approached the church for his advice. I usually went to the church since it was my only home. My home back in Italy had been burned down. And Father Jeremiah was my only friend. But he seemed more like a second father than a regular friend.
"I don't know what to do, Father. Part of me wants to serve justice to my family and let the police take care of it but then.." I stopped as I swallowed my words.
"Please do continue, Salvatore.." He encouraged me with a nod. I let out a soft sigh as I felt the words come straight out of my mouth.
"Another wants me to do the merciless crime, despite the consequences that would come. Whether if I get put in prison or in an institution for the mentally insane... Father.. I feel like a monster, having these thoughts of homicide." I spoke softly to him.
"I'll be praying for you Salvatore.. I still see that you haven't fully lost your sanity. At least not yet.." He sighed softly as he pulled me close. I held onto him and closed my eyes a bit feeling his fingers thread through my hair, which had cold sweat upon a few strands.
"You'd better be ready... Because I'm coming for you, and I will fucking kill you.."
