Penny on the side -------------->

------------

Celeste's POV:

Nothing.

No calls or texts from any of my friends, including Caitlyn. I was really hoping to talk to either her or Angie.

My phone started to ring, so I picked it up and answered it, not looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?" I answered it.

"Celeste? It's Penny," someone said on the other line.

"Penny? I didn't even know you had my number still," I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Penny was my best friend until she moved and we lost contact.

"Yeah. I'm in Sydney, and was wondering if you wanted to meet up and go clubbing or something," she wondered.

"Of course. You wanna come over here and we can get ready?" I asked.

"Sounds great! I'll meet you at your house in fifteen minutes, just text me the address," Penny replied.

"Cool, see you when you get here," I smiled.

We said our goodbyes and hung up, and I texted her my address. According to my phone, I had an unread message. From Ashton.

From: Ash :)

Hey, Cel! Sorry no one has called, we've been the busiest people on the planet. Feel free to call anytime, Caitlyn and Angie miss you. The rest of us do too. Hope you can come to at least one show!

-Ash

I closed my messages and plugged my phone in. Someone knocked on the front door, so I got up to answer it.

"Celeste!" Penny hugged me.

"Penny!" I smiled.

"I've missed you so much," she sighed happily.

"Me too. I wish we never lost contact," I agreed.

"Well, we won't anymore. I'm living in Sydney again!" Penny exclaimed.

"That's awesome! I'm sure my mum would love to see you," I replied.

"I'll have to say hi to her," she nodded.

"I'm glad you came up with the idea of clubbing, I really need a girls night out," I mumbled.

"Aw, what's going on?" She worried.

"Just went through a hard breakup. We were only together seven months, but still, it was the first relationship I was in that I wasn't cheated on," I answered.

"I'm sorry. Was is mutual?" Penny asked.

"Yes," I lied.

"Well, let's get your mind off him. Come on," she pulled me upstairs to my room.

"I have a few dresses in there," I pointed to my closet.

She looked through my clothes, and picked out a short, tight sequin dress and black high heels.

"This," she smirked.

"Perfect," I agreed.

--------------

Penny borrowed one of my other dresses that was too small for me, and my other heels. We did our makeup, and straightened our hair, high fiving because of the final turnout.

"Let's go party," Penny grabbed her clutch and phone, and I did the same.

She drove us to the nearest club and the place was packed with people.

"Two fireball shots," Penny told the bartender.

"You know, I've only drank once before," I told her.

"I've done this a few times. Don't worry, they don't card you here," Penny assured me.

"Good," I was relieved, and drank the shot.

"Loosen up," Penny shrugged, downing her shot as well.

"Hey, beautiful, wanna dance?" Someone walked up to Penny.

"I'll be back, Cel," Penny walked to the dance floor with the mystery guy.

"Another round," I told the bartender.

She poured me a shot and I downed it in one gulp. I was already starting to loosen up, I'm very lightweight when it comes to drinking.

------------

By the time eleven rolled around, I was delirious to the world around me.

"Hello, gorgeous," a voice whispered in my ear.

I turned to see a tall guy, a brunette with amazing green eyes.

"Care to dance?" He asked.

"I'd love to," I nodded. Luke didn't even cross my mind at this point. I saw Penny dancing still, so I decided to dance as well with this adorable stranger.

We started to dance, and I started to feel better about life. I bet Luke was partying every night, so one night for me won't kill me.

"I'm Sam," the stranger who danced with me introduced himself to me.

"Celeste," I shook his hand.

"Can I buy you a drink?" He wondered.

"A water would be nice. I'm trying to sober up a little bit," I answered.

"A water for the beautiful lady," Sam told the bartender.

"So, you live around here?" I questioned.

"Five minutes away from here," he nodded.

"That's cool," I sipped on my water.

"Would you want to meet me out for dinner sometime?" Sam asked.

"Sure. Tomorrow?" I suggested.

"Sounds great," Sam agreed.

We exchanged numbers, then Penny told me that we had to go.
My phone started to buzz in my clutch, but I ignored it.

Luke's POV:

She won't even answer her phone. She won't talk to me. She doesn't understand how much I miss her. I decided to give up on talking to her, and go on twitter to follow some fans, when I saw a tweet from her.

"@CelesteTucker: Reunited once again! Going out for a girls night! Wish I had my other girls with me... <3 @PennyRowling"

She went out to a bar. Figures, she's probably heartbroken. Probably trying to forget about me, that's why. I knew this break up wasn't going to be good for us. One of us was going to go out and get drunk, and it was her.

"What are you looking at?" Ashton asked.

"Nothing," I shook my head.

"It's Celeste isn't it? I know you miss her, but she'll call. Besides, I told you that you guys would work out," Ashton guessed.

I never told anyone about the breakup. Not even my best friends. I knew it was wrong, but I couldn't tell them.

"She went out with one of her best friends," I explained.

"At least she's having fun," Ashton pointed out.

"Yeah. I'm glad she is," I faked a smile.

I didn't want him to see right through me, and know that Celeste and I actually broke up.

I'm still trying to accept it.

Celeste I really hate you okay
