Chapter 10

Ada walked down the streets of Malibu. She wore a black fedora, with jeans, a white button up sleeveless shirt, a black vest, and black flip flops.

She was seen around Malibu more often, and today just so happened to be a day she had a date with Jackson. Ada walked into a small cafe and saw Jackson sitting by the window.

"Well there's Miss Stark," he smiled. "How are you?"

"I'm good, what about yourself?" she smiled.

"I'm great. I think I've finally got my break into actual Hollywood."

"Aww, are all the High School Musical and Hairspray fans not enough? If I'm being honest, you were extremely hot in those movies, just don't let Vanessa Hudgens outshine me," she joked.

"While I did love High School Musical and Hairspray I just want more that just that. I've got 17 Again right now and then I got the role for this other movie called Charlie St. Cloud."

"Well if Mister Akins is becoming the new hot celebrity in Hollywood, isn't he? Your fans just need to remember your mine, though."

"Don't worry. Even though my career depends on fans, I will always love you first."

"Aww, and I will love you before all of the meetings I have to go to," she joked.

"Well, if you don't wan to run the company, you could always model, act, sing, dance, whatever you want. This is California. If you're going to try something in the entertainment business, this so the place to do it."

Ada pondered over the idea for a minute.

"I think I'm happy being a Stark right now. It's just what I am. Plus, I don't like the paparazzi much anyway."

"It's your decision. If you change your mind though,here's my agent's card."

Ada took the small card he handed her and looked over it. Jackson's phone then lit up. He looked at it.

"I gotta go," he stated.

He stood up with Ada following. They went outside and looked at each other for a second.

"I'll see you around?" Jackson asked.

"Yeah," she sighed.

He pulled her in for a hug, and when they pulled away, he kissed her on the lips.

"I love you," he reminded.

"Love you too," she responded.

With that, the two parted ways and headed opposite directions.

Ada went home and sat in the living room. She did her homework and groaned in frustration. She stood up and headed downstairs to the lab.

"Dad!" she called.

She went down and saw him standing in the middle of a platform with weird equipment on. One robot was holding a camera, while Dummy held a fire extinguisher

"Dad?" she muttered.

"Okay, let's do this right. Start mark, half a meter, and back and center. Dummy, look alive. You're on standby for fire safety. You, roll it. Okay. Activate hand controls. We're gonna start off nice and easy. We're gonna see if 10% thrust capacity achieves lift. And three, two, one," he took of, flying backwards into the wall and falling, while Dummy sprayed him with the extinguisher.

Ada stood laughing.

"Ada? What are you doing here?" Tony asked.

"I needed help with math, and I come down to...this. what is this?" she continued to laugh.
