The Reaper in The Forest of Forever Fall

Rowan's POV

Rowan's Remnant Log - 3:

A week has passed since I showed my first year students my memories. Most of them respect me by choice, while others respect me for combat ability. The others I talk about are Team CRDL. I knew that they feared me, so I asked them to assist me on a sweep and clear mission a couple days ago, one that Ozpin ordered me to take, since the Grimm activity was overwhelming and said I could bring any of the first years with me and that they were to act as my shadows and support me if necessary. I requested Team CRDL and he was hesitant until I told him my intentions. After that he agreed completely.

Team CRDL were a bit uncomfortable when they were called in to help with a sweep and clear mission, and even more so when I informed them that they were going to assist me in this mission. When we arrived, Grimm activity was off the charts and I got to work, while keeping a certain number of Grimm for Team CRDL to clear out, as I knew their limits. After a few close calls with each member of Team CRDL their attitude towards me changed after the mission. Now they greet me formally in the halls and listen and heed my advice and lessons that I give in class. But I digress.

Me and Glynda have been taking it slow and it has been working out. My date with her yesterday was a major step forward in our relationship, despite us wanting to go slow. Also, just recently, the construction of Armadillo was completed and field testing has shown 100% efficiency, along with Arctic Empress. I have to thank the technology that Ozpin provides for me to rebuild my weapons, and rebuilding has proven to be quite simple thanks to the blueprints that were stored in my armor.

My relationship with Teams RWBY and JNPR has also grown as I take each of them out of the usual class, one at a time per class period, to help them increase combat efficiency. For Jaune and Ruby, I have been taking to training those two the most rigorously. The reason for Ruby is because she is crucial in Ozpin's plans. Or so I would have Ozpin believe, when in actuality, she reminds me of the daughter I had with Kary. I've decided to do my best with her so she can be prepared for anything. Glynda seems to have taken a notice and brings it up every so often just to hit the soft sides of me. Now for Jaune, I see potential in him. But because of my heavy use of firearms and lack of skill in edged weaponry, I've pulled stored data of Xero's training and gave them to Jaune so he may study and practice them. He appears to be struggling but I hope to help him overcome this. To help him, I've asked Pyrrah Nikos, fellow student and Jaune's teammate, to help him, but she has been distant from him as of late and I believe I know why.

Jaune Arc, was not accepted into Beacon legally. He got his way in through forged documents. I would not condone him for his actions, as I have said before that I have seen potential in him, but because I also believe he deserves to be here, like every other Hunter and Huntress in training that attend this academy. But it appears this information has also been discovered by Cardin Winchester. I discovered this information when Pyrrah attempted my request to help train him to be a better fighter, but then he denied the request and told his info as I was also eavesdropping and watching from a distance, hoping for it to go well when it really turned for the worst. He revealed the info of his acceptance into the academy, not just to me and Pyrrah, but also Cardin as he was sitting on the open window right below them. I hoped for Cardin to not take advantage of this but my hopes for him died when he decided to approach Jaune and told him to follow him and his every order.

I would've intervened if it wasn't for Glynda, who was also listening, and told me to ignore it and let things happen. Because I trust and love her, I followed her advice. I just hope I can get the chance to change this on our field trip to Forever Fall Forest on Monday.
