Ashley's P.O.V
We run over to some curtains that are covering a window and hide behind them. I squeeze Miranda's hand as I hear slow, eerie footsteps coming towards the curtains.
Miranda's P.O.V
I never should've let us hide behind these curtains. We were both just so scared we hid behind the first thing we saw. And I'm just realizing that the first thing we saw just happened to be sheer curtains. I see a shadow of a hand reaching for the curtain side and just as fast as the curtain was ripped off and loud piercing screams escaped from our mouths, everything became silent.
"Daddy?" I ask breaking the silence. I look from him to Ashley and lock eyes with her for a second and look back at him.
