   you are my cornerstone.
the memories,
the mistakes,
the happiness,
the heartbreaks

-all rooted to you.

you are my cornerstone.
when you sway,
I forget myself.
when you bend,
I destroy myself.
when you crumble,
I lose myself.

-for i am rooted to you.

you are my cornerstone.
and you build me
brick by brick,
stone by stone.

but even though
you are my cornerstone,

I could never call you my own.
