Empty Apathy

My hand barely works

As I pen down these words

I can't think of any idiom

To describe to you my conundrum.

Filled with lethargy and emptiness

My heart can't overcome its heaviness

My mind slowly approaches irrationality

But these letters anchor me to my sanity.

My mind is in a state of apathy

And my body is in pure agony

But my parents mustn't see this reality

For then they'll question my normality.

Today this song doesn't flow like a river

For all my thoughts run simultaneously together

My mind is muddled like it is a sewer

Filled with shit, no trace of humour.
