•Chapter 5
After all the comfortable silence in the car and me and Chandler making funny looks at each other, we pulled up to an outdoor studio. It was what looked like a storage building next to some train tracks. 'Walkers' roamed around everywhere, eating foods off a table with different options on it. It made me hungry just looking at it.. Then again I was always hungry..
But that was all I could see from behind the gates.
Mrs. Gina stopped outside of them and let us out of the car. "I'll be here at 3:45 to pick you up." She said. She forcefully pulled Chandlers head to hers, kissing his cheek. I let out a suppressed laugh as Mrs. Gina drove away.
"It's not funny." Chandler grumbled, grabbing my hand and pulling me to the security guard at the gate.
We stopped and looked up at the man in blue, "Morning Joe." Chandler smiled up at him. "Chandler." Joe the security guard nodded towards me. "This is Shailee Carter. She was gonna come in with me if that was fine." Chandler explained. Joe looked me up and down. "She looks familiar." He murmurs. "I'm an actress myself." I answer quickly. "Yea. She can come in, just sign a few things please. It's just promising you won't tell another person what you see in here.. yada yada yada.." Joe sighs, reading down a sheet of paper. I nod as the he opens the door, letting me in. I sign where he tells me too and then were ready to go!
Chandler grabs my hand again, pulling me through the gates. He stops and looks around. "There's Steven. Let's go introduce you to him." Chandler says, pulling me towards the man who plays Glenn.
"Stevo!" Chandler laughs, as Steven turns around. "Who's this Chandler?" He asks, licking his fingers. He must've been eating something. "I'm Shailee." I smile, taking my hand that was still in Chandler and holding it out to Steven. He shakes it and then picks up a buffalo wing, making me giggle.
"Oh-there's Danai." Chandler grabs my hand again, pulling me to her. It continues like this for the next 10 minutes. Meeting the other actors and looking around the set.
"Okay everyone! Were about to start shooting. Chandler, we need to you hair and make up." A woman announces into a microphone.
Chandler turns to me, "My chair is right over there." He points to a navy blue chair with 'Riggs' written on It. "You can sit in that while you wait. Or my trailer." He points to a small trailer with his last name written on the door. "Bye. See you later." He let's go of my hand and waves as he enters a separate trailer with the words 'Hair & Make Up' written on the door.
I sigh, it coming out as more of a laugh. I walk over to Chandlers chair and sit down, pulling one leg up to me and letting the other one hang. Everyone was already acting but I wasn't paying any attention. I was too lost in though to care as I played with my bracelets hanging on my wrists.
Why did we have to move here? I left all my friends. The only people I felt like cared about me. For me. Besides my fans-who don't even really know me. I left my friends. I left my career for my Mama. Even if my Mama would let me act-which she wouldn't, at least for a while-there didn't look to be any openings for anything down here. It was stupid to be thinking like this anyways, she would never allow me to act for now. It was pretty ironic to feel this right now, considering there were people dressed as the dead around me; but I felt dead. She took me from some of the only ones who made me feel alive. The only thing that made me feel loved. I needed to feel relieved. And when I feel the pain it's a reminder that I'm still here, in this living hell. It made me feel alive. I wasn't a dead person walking around in a living persons body. I was a zombie. I was an actual person. But I only felt like that when I felt the pain. And I didn't feel that now. I needed that reliever. But I couldn't. Not right now at least.

I stood up as Chandler walked towards me, moving his hair to the side with two fingers. It was 3:00. We still had 45 minutes before Mrs. Gina got here.
It was only now-once he had made the change from Carl to Chandler-did I realize Chandlers sexiness.
"Hey." He smirks lightly as he steps in front of me.
"Hi." I smirk back, sticking my hands into my hoodie pockets and playing with my bracelets.
"So what'd you wanna do since we got time?" Chandler asks.
"Your trailer?"
He nods, walking towards it and unlocking it, holding the door open for me. I step in and he sits on the couch, so I plop down next to him and stick my legs in his lap.
"So how did you like watching us film?" He asks, pulling out his phone and glancing at the screen.
"It was fun. So I enjoyed it." I shrug, taking my hands out of my pockets and playing with the bracelets.
"You didn't even watch." Chandler accused, looking up at me. I looked down at my feet in his lap silently.
"Yes I did." I whisper.
"Then what happened?"
Silence..
"Exactly. Every time I looked over at you you'd be staring into space playing with your bracelets." Chandler says quietly, "Are you okay?" He bends over his lap, trying to make eye contact with me.
I flash my eyes up to his, "I don't have a career anymore. It's why she moved us here. To take me away from the things I love. She took me away from my friends. She took me away from my home. She took me away from my life. And I'm slowly dying inside." I whisper, feeling silent tears rolling down my cheeks. I lean forward over my lap like Chandler. "I feel dead Chandler. I feel useless. Like I'm just a waste of space. Like no one cares. And I need to feel alive."
Chandler stays how he is and sets a warm hand on my cheek, caressing my skin perfectly, "I can make you feel alive." He whispers, moving it to the back of my head and pulling my lips to his.
I was lost in this moment. He was about to kiss me. Chandler. I barely knew this boy and I had opened up to him. I had only known him for less than a day. This isn't normal for me. At all.
Our lips had just touched, sending sparks that would never leave and I would never forget. Chandlers lips start to move against mine when there was a knock on the door. I back away from Chandler quickly, pulling my legs off his lap.
He stands up and opens the door, revealing Mrs. Gina. "C'mon guys. We have to go pick Grayson up." She smiles as I stand up, smiling back.
"And Shailee-your mother says tomorrow you can come back with us. Then if you want we can take you to get school supplies." She adds.
I nod, "Yea sure. I'd like that." I smile, stepping out of the trailer. Chandler follows behind me, locking it after him.
We left the set, of course saying a goodbye to Joe first, and picked up Grayson. I decided that I'd put my legs in Grayson's lap.. And he didn't like that too much.. He pushed my legs off of him and told me not to do it.
I was sorta surprised, so I just nodded, sighed, and leaned my head against the window and watching as we passed different cars.
