Flynn wakes just as dawn arrives, he is quick to change out of his sleepwear and into a thin T-shirt and cargo shorts before rushing from the room towards the kitchen.

He is surprised to find the male demon Zanzi sat comfortably at the table with a mug of coffee.

"Morning Flynn."

Flynn smiles at how tired the demon sounds, clearly he's not a morning person.

"Morning Zanzi, you going to be joining the dive today?"

He asks the question offhandedly as he pours himself a mug of coffee from the pot.

The demon nods as Flynn sits down across from him.

"Yeah I'll be coming."

There's a pause before the demon starts to speak again.

"So why is someone like you working with the angels?"

Flynn raises his eyebrows and meets the demon's eyes before looking at the black markings that cover his own arms.

"Mostly boredom and a love for the ocean. I grew up on an island settlement not far from here so I was the best choice."

The demon nods thoughtfully before taking a mouthful of coffee and glancing out of one of the larger windows at the water.

"Your people have any legends that could link to the creature?"

Flynn has to think for a moment, he can remember stories his mama would tell him to stop him from swimming at night.

"Only one, the deep terror. Supposedly it is the reincarnated form of a young man who was murdered by his lover and friends, they say it came back with a taste for blood and seeks out those who swim at night. Never had a reason to believe it...till now that is."

Zanzi hums quietly as Flynn drinks his coffee in one massive gulp.

The demon stands up and place his mug into the sink before sitting down again.

"So the deep terror is a vengeful spirit of some form?"

Flynn nods and casts a look out of the window across the water, the colours of the sunrise flashing beautifully over the surface.

"My mama and the elders of the village would tell us that story to stop us from swimming at night, we stopped believing it as we got older and went swimming in the dark. No one ever got attacked by it, always thought it was just some old wives tale."

Flynn stand up and places his own mug in the sink before walking over to the window and looking out.

"I'm going to go and check the footage from the night then we'll prepare to dive."

Zanzi makes a noise of agreement and Flynn leaves the kitchen, walking towards the work room.

He feels his bare feet become damp as he approaches the room but continues on, not thinking anything of it.

He pushes the door to the work room open and nearly screams at the chaos he finds.

The chairs have been turned over, the table has been flipped and one of the unused monitors has been smashed to pieces, the door that leads out onto the deck is wide open and Flynn can see a series of deep scratches in the wooden panels of the deck.

"Oh my god....OH MY GOD!"

His panicked shouting attracts the others, the demons are the first to reach him. The angels arrive seconds later in various states of dress with both males being shirtless but Claire being  dressed in a nightgown.

There's a moment of horrified silence before Sagan clears her throat.

"We shouldn't of baited the water, we tempted it up here and it probably came here to search for food."

Sammael is utterly speechless as he stares at the destruction that has occurred, his wings have tucked themselves against his back.

"Search for any damage to the main systems."
