Love is a flaming sword that brands its possessor.💗

The master sat in his inner chambers.
He was a tall, rather handsome man, with a thin scar that marred his face, starting from his left eye, cutting across his nose and ending just at the start of his upper lip.
As he sipped from the wine glass, he remembered how close he had come to conquering his nemesis.

He called out to the guard standing outside the door. A Navrian who had accidentally crossed borders with his, and was now paying his due. As the guard appeared at the door,  Magnus took another sip from his glass, eyeing him sceptically.

" I want you to do something for me, and I want you to be discrete about it, do you understand? "
  "Yes master". The guard answered.
" I want you to leave quietly, go to Augustus home. Do you remember Augustus?

"Yes, I do master." The guard answers with his shaven head, bowed low.

"That's perfect.  What i want you to do, is take his little daughter. I want you to do all these without getting noticed, or seen. You shouldn't get caught. Do you understand? ".

"Yes master". The guard turned and left on shaky legs.

Magnus smiled softly, he loved it when he instilled fear in people.
He thought of the cunning idiot, Augustus.

After the failed attempt to abduct the child of the only woman he had loved and still loved,
Augustus had played the cat and mouse game with him, and he'd played it  for too long. It was time to fix him.

Magnus thought of Charlotte, he could still see her smile, even if he hadn't seen her in years. Charlotte had always been a beautiful woman, she was like fire and unsuspecting men were the moth. When she turned eighteen, he had visited her father's mansion seeking her hand in marriage. Charlotte had looked at him and said  words that he would never forget.

" I cannot marry you Magnus Carper, you don't appeal to me."

He had left her that day with a new burning need in him, a need  to bring tears to those big brown eyes of hers.

Oblivious to the fact that she had just started a war that she may end up loosing, Charlotte had watched him leave with a girlish smile on her beautiful lips.

After the incident he had left Navria and had created a little habitat for himself. Gradually different people began to join in and in no time he had his own town, which he had named Medan.

Two years later, he learned that she had gotten married to Henry Marcoti. A green eyed soldier.
He wasn't mad nor jealous, he just smiled and waited for the perfect time to strike. And he knew who was going to fall first.

He remembered how angry he was when he got the news, that a common maiden had ruined his plan. Magnus was furious, he had ordered soldiers to look for her. When they had returned without the woman, he had ordered them all to be beheaded. The next day, he sent out new troops.

He was going to find that daughter of hers, and he was going to send her head of course adorned with a beautiful garland, in a box, to her beloved mother.
