Chapter 1 ~New Student

Rin's POV:

 

 

 

I was sitting in math class today, bored as heck. Oh my god. Please end already!

 

 "Class, listen up! We have a new student today!" Mr. Kiyoteru announced.

 

Well that'll earn me a few minutes of distraction. I wonder who this new kid is?

 

Is she nice?

 

Is she pretty?

 

Why am I calling the kid a she when I don't even know what gender she is?

 

I'll call her a shim. A mixture between "she" and "him". There, I solved my problem.

 

"Come in now Len!" Mr. Kiyoteru shouts again. Geez, talk about unnecessary. The classroom is not that big, you do not need to shout. Stupid teacher.

 

A boy walks in. He had blonde hair tied up in a small ponytail. Big cerulean eyes too. Wow, he's pretty good-looking. He's also pretty tall and lean. Ooh~ I like this. I always hated overly muscled guys. It's like dude, you are not rip; you are just plain ugly.

 

"Hello, my name is Len Kagamine. I'm pleased to meet you!" Len grins. I feel a small flutter in my stomach. Woah, woah, woah… Woah. Hold on Rin. You just met this dude. You don't know anything about him at all! You just think he's hot!

 

I continue staring at him while also arguing with myself. Our eyes suddenly met. Oh my God. He must think I'm a stalker. I have been staring at him for such a long time. Oh my God, that is not a good first impression. Calm down Rin. Calm down. I feel my cheeks warming up. Dammit Rin! Stop staring at him you freak! Ugh, now see what you did! You've been upgraded to super creepy now! I quickly look away. Ah, what is this I'm feeling? When I look up, I see Len grinning at me… Freaking weirdo. Does he not know I was just being creepy a little while go? Ugh! What's with him? What's with me? Who am I talking to? Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, why are there so many questions through my head? WHO AM I?

 

 

Now that that's through, I think I'm going to sleep. My brain needs a little rest after that much thinking.

 

Lunch:

 

"Hey Rin! Did you hear about that new student, Len?" My best friend Miku Hatsune shouts at me.

 

"Yes Miku I did. Now stop shouting! I am like 2 feet away from you! There is no need for you to shout!" I shout back. Yes I am being a hypocrite. I don't care what you say.

 

"Arguing again Rin and Miku?" My other best friend Luka Megurine says. I stuck my tongue out at her. Luka smiles at me. She was always the mature one here. Miku and I are like 4-year old brats. Luka is like our big sister and mom. She really looks out for us.

 

Before I go on any further. I am Rin Kagaene. I am 14 years old and I'm in my freshman year at Vocaloid High School. Miku's 15 years old and is in her sophomore year. Luka is, surprisingly, 17 and is in her junior year. That's right. I am the youngest one here. What sucks even more is that I'm as flat as a board! I look like an elementary school student than a high school one. Most people think I'm 10 or something. Totally not cool. Ahem, let's continue with the story shall we.

 

"So what were you two talking about?" Luka asks.

 

"About the new student, Len Kagamine. He's in my math class." I reply. My lunch was an orange and I hungrily tore at the skin. I want my orange.

 

"I heard that he's really cute – not that I'm interested of course. A lot of the girls from freshman level are saying he is." Miku then magically pulls out a leek and starts chewing it. Ew leeks. How can she stand those things? Leeks are nasty!

 

"Eh, he's okay I guess." Hell no! Kid is freaking hot! But I didn't want to sound interested or anything. Lord knows what Miku would do if she found out.

 

"You sure Rinny? He didn't even catch a small spark of your interest?" Luka waggles her eyebrows. In front of Luka was a luxuriously cooked tuna. Damn, that looks tasty!

 

"Nope. Not a single spark." I proudly stated.

 

"Hmmm…" Was all I got from Luka. Man I hate it when she goes "Hmmm" on me. It's as if she knows something I don't. Gah! Tell me Luka! I need to know what you know!

 

"Hey isn't that… Him… Over…. There?" Miku asks. I turn my head and my jaw nearly dropped to the floor. He is hanging out with the school's biggest perverts! Kaito and Gakupo!

 

Kaito's 16 years old and is in his sophomore year. Gakupo is 17 years old and is in his junior year. They're both perverts. Last year, they were caught peeping into the girl's locker room! Luckily Meiko, she graduated last year, caught them and beat the shit out of them. Hah, she sure taught them a lesson. Though, I wasn't here last year… Either way, they still should've known it was wrong.

 

"Oh. My. God. The new kid's a pervert!" I shout.

 

"Now, now Rin. Before you start jumping to conclusions, why don't you get to meet him first? You know, get to know him?" Luka asks. Hypocrite.

 

"Then why don't you meet Gakupo and you know, get to know him too?" I ask sweetly.

 

"Tch. I know him enough!" Luka blushes furiously. Score: 1 for Rin. Score: 0 for Luka.

 

"Hey, for all you know, he can be pretty sweet guy~" Miku joins in.

 

"Shut up Miku! Why don't you get to know Kaito then?" Luka retorts back.

 

"Pfft~ Ftt- asddfhkklj- Hmph!" Miku sits back down, defeated.

 

"My point is Rin, Len is new to this school. Those two goofballs over there have been here at this school for more than a year. Len may or may not be a pervert." Luka turns to me. A faint blush was still on her face.

 

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever Luka." I wave her away. I seriously did not want to deal with her now. When I turned back to my orange, I caught Len looking at me. We had a mini staring contest. All of a sudden, he winked at me and I think he mouthed 'Call me.'

  

What the hell? I don't even know this guy or his phone number! Just who does he think he is?
