CHAPTER FIFTEEN - BURNING AT BOTH ENDS

"DR. O., I KNOW THIS suit looks good and all, but quit kidding around." Kira said. "I wish I could, Kira. When Trent froze me in that amber, somehow my dino gem in my morpher must've re-molecularized." Dr. Oliver explained. "In other words?" Conner asked.

"He's stuck." Hayley said. "And speaking of Trent, looks like he's up to no good again." Hayley continued as she looked at the computer screen. "I am so over that poser." Conner stated. "Go. I'll see what we can figure out here." Dr. Oliver said. Conner nodded. "Ready?" Conner asked. "Ready!" Kira, Ethan, and I answered. "Dino Thunder, Power Up! HA!" All four of us shouted. We morphed. "Dino Power!" Civilans were screaming. "That's right, You better run." Trent stated.

"Fire!" All of us shouted as we fired at Trent. "Come on, guys!" Conner said. "That's enough!" I shouted. "I'm just getting started." Trent informed. "It's Zord time!" Conner exclaimed. We got into our Zords and made our Megazord. "Make your move." Trent challenged. "Now what's he up to?" Ethan asked. "I don't know, but we have to stop him!" I replied.

"I hate to do this to you. Nothing personal." Trent said as he fired chains at us. "We need Dinozord help!" Conner said. Two Dinozords came. "Perfect." Trent said. "Crap! We forgot Trent can control the Dinozords!" I think to myself. "Containment fields, on-line!" Trent said. He trapped our Dinozords. "What?" Conner said, confused. "Our Dinozords — Let them go!" Conner shouted.

"Sorry. Not gonna happen." Trent replied. "Trent, you've gotta stop this! You're out of control!" I informed. "Looks more like I'm in control." Trent corrected. "What's he gonna do with them?" Kira asked. That's when he attacked us. "Huh?" Conner said.

We looked and saw that he was gone. We were back at the lab. "What's the situation, Hayley?" Dr. Oliver asked. Hayley was trying to free the Zords. "It's no good. He's got them in a force field." Hayley replied. "It's not Trent's fault. The gem is making him this way." I said while holding my helmet. "I don't care whose fault it is. We find a way to deal with him, or things are gonna get ugly." Conner stated.

"Slow down. I was in his shoes once, and I wouldn't be here today if my friends had given up on me." Dr. Oliver said. "I wouldn't be here either. If Nick, Xander, Madison, Chip, and Vida gave up on me. Maybe that's why I don't wanna give up on Trent." I think to myself, remembering everything that I did to the Mystic Rangers. They did everything they could to break me from that evil spell.

"Okay, so we don't give up yet, but what do we do?" Ethan asked. "Go back to school. Keep a low profile. Hayley and I will let you know if anything changes." Dr. Oliver responded. I boredly walked to school, thinking about the recent events. "You're our friend, Tanner. You're my best friend, and friends don't give up on one another! So whether you like it or not, We're gonna save you!" Xander's words rang in my ears.

"They never gave up on me. So even if Conner, Ethan, and Kira gave up on Trent, I wasn't gonna give up on him." I thought. That was until Trent popped up out of a wall, disrupting my thoughts. "You know, you shouldn't walk to school alone. You never know who you might run into." Trent said. "How did you do that?" I asked.

"You didn't think you were the only one with dino gem power." Trent replied. "I don't want to fight." I told him. "Well, that makes one of us." Trent informed as his morpher showed up. "White Ranger, Dino Power." Trent said as he morphed. "Bring it on." Trent said. "If that's how it has to be." I said as I got out my morpher. "Dino Thunder, Power Up! HA!" I shouted as I morphed.
