Killer x mute reader

Oof. I'm running out of ideas.

"What the hell is all of this shit?!?!" You flinched hearing your captain start to have one of his tantrums again. You see you were the only girl on the ship and that was only because you ate the heal heal fruit so Kid found you useful. You never said anything and well...that was because you were a mute.

You stood on the deck and watched as everyone tried to calm Kid down but to no avail. 'It's times like this I'm glad I can't talk...' You thought looking down. "(Y/n)." You heard someone speak as they placed a hand on your shoulder. You quickly looked up only to see Killer.

He was the only one who was kind to you or at least kind enough to pay attention to you and speak to you. "Are you scared? Is Kid frightening you again?" He asked worried. You just smiled at him signing that you were ok. He nods his head at this.

You see Killer was your personal translator so he had to spend a lot of time with you. 'I feel bad...if I could talk he wouldn't have to be around someone as boring as me.' You thought sadly. "Oi! (Y/n)! Get your ass over here!" You heard Kid shout causing you to jump.

You quickly bowed to Killer before running off to where Kid stood arms crossed an annoyed look on his face. Once you reached him you quickly started to sign. "Tch! Hold still for a second." He grumbled as he went and started to closely examine you.

'What is he doing?' You thought curiously. With a sigh Kid turned to leave. "No one bother me or else I'll kill you!" Was all he yelled before disappearing from view. You just stood there confused before looking over at Killer. He looked at you nodding his head.

What was that about?

"Don't know. I think Kid is working on something. You were probably his model." He mumbled. You just nod your head giving him a small smile. Killer didn't say anything as he continued to stare at you causing you to get a little confused as you tilt your head.

Something wrong Killer?

Said man shook his head no as he went and pat your head. "It's nothing. Come on let's go get something to eat." He mumbled. You just smiled at this nodding your head happily. The two of you go into the kitchen to get some food while others watched shaking their heads knowing smirks on their faces.

~time skip~

"(Y/n)!!!!! Hurry up and start healing dammit!!!!!" Kid yelled pissed off as he tried to fix some damaged parts of the ship. You nod as you quickly run around healing everyone who was injured from the sudden Marine attack.

You were almost done healing everyone the only one left was Killer. When you reached him you felt your heartache as your body stiffened. "Hm?" Killed hummed looking up at you. You could see the blood leaking from his mask and the giant gash on his chest.

You got down on your knees as you quickly got to work on healing him not taking your eyes away from the wounds. 'Killer...he's badly hurt I hate seeing him like this...it breaks my heart.' You thought biting your lip.

Killer noticed this and sighed. "(Y/n)." He mumbled causing you to glance up at him. "You're bleeding." He mumbled carefully lifting a finger up to your mouth wiping the blood away. You wanted to sign that it was fine but couldn't as you went to healing his face.

"You're pushing that devil fruit ability of yours too far again..." He mumbled. You just ignored him as you finished up on your healing. Everyone knew that your power came with a price...and that price was your own health. The more you used it the weaker you got.

Kid knew this but always pushed you to heal everyone. You secretly knew that he cared about his crew but you also knew he'd die before even showing a single glimpse of it. "(Y/n)...please get some rest." He whispered gently caressing your cheek.

You looked at him and smiled a weak smile before coughing up some blood. "(Y/n)!" Killer cried out worried for you. This got the attention of everyone else as they all looked at you worried. Kid even stopped his repairs. "Killer! Hurry up and take her to her room!" He yelled.

You felt yourself get lifted off the ground causing you to look up and see Killer. He didn't say anything as he held you in his arms silently carrying you to your room. Once there he laid you down on your bed taking a seat next to you. Neither of you tried to start a conversation.

Killer let out a small sigh as he started to speak. "(Y/n)...you'll die if you keep this up." He mumbled glancing over at you. You didn't do anything as you stared up at the ceiling. "I know you're hear to take care of the crew but...I'm worried about you..." He continued.

You glanced over at him listening to what else he had to say. "This crew is tough and cruel...but here you are someone who's kind and sweet to everyone." He let out another sigh turning his head to you. "Why are you hear (Y/n)? You could be doing so much better." He said softly.

You just smiled at him before signing.

I'm here for you...because you're really nice to me. Plus I like everyone here even Kid haha!

Killer didn't say anything for a moment before sighing again. You watched him curiously as he went and lifted his mask up slightly revealing a smile. "You're really something else aren't you (Y/n)?" He asked. You just smiled shrugging your shoulders a small blush on your cheeks.

Just then the door was slammed open revealing Kid. He looked between the two of you for a moment before sighing. "Seriously you two." He mumbled. "Don't go getting all lovey you hear me? It's gross." He scoffed. You both just nod your heads.

"You." He said glaring at you causing you to flinch slightly. He walked over to you grabbing your hand and holding it up. "Here." He mumbled placing a beautiful metal ring on your finger. You noticed it had the pirate symbol on it. You looked at Kid confused.

He just sighed looking away. "Don't look at me like that dammit! It was Killer's dumb idea not mine!" He yelled. You glanced over at Killer questionably. "I had him make you a present. A thanks for risking your own health for the sake of us." He said calmly.

You just smiled at this turning to Kid. "What?" He hissed glaring at you. You just smiled as you started to sign. Killer watched you and chuckled slightly. "What the hell's so funny?! What did she say?!" He yelled looking between the two of you. "She said thank you. And that she's proud to be serving under a captain like you."

This caused Kid to flinch slightly a small blush on his cheeks. "Tch! Whatever! Just stop causing me trouble dammit!" Was all he said before storming off. The two of you looked at each other both smiling. Killer went and gently pat your head.

"Alright. Get some rest now (Y/n)."
