Tobias had heard the screaming from the lobby. It bounced off the walls and burst through the door and Tobias had heard it. At first he waved it away. It could be anyone. But as the scream grew louder, he could no longer ignore it. It was Tris. He burst through the door, ignoring the protests of numerous nurses. Despite his agility and balance, he found himself slipping on the gray tile as he put on speed as the scream rose louder. When he flew into Tris's room, the nurses were comforting her. Her eyes were screwed closed in pain and she whimperd and went limp, crumbling into the arms of a blonde, nervous looking nurse. A doctor, one that was looking smug and confused all at once stood in the corner, watching the scene. A rush of anger propelled through Tobias and he whipped around to face him.
"I can't wait anymore. What is wrong with Tris?" He snarled.
"Sir, I cannot disclose that infromation." The doctor said hastily, turning around to hustle out with the nurses. Tobias growled to himself and grabbed the doctor by the collar causing the nurses to freeze and gasp. Tobias forced the doctor to face him, shoving him into place.
"I will give you one last chance. What. Is. Wrong. With. HER?" Tobias shouted. The doctor winced.
"I cannot dis-" The doctor began. But he never finished because Tobias had reeled back and connected his fist with the doctor's face.

"I can't believe you got kicked out of the HOSPTIAL." Christina snorted, sitting down on the cot and crossing her arms. Tobias punched his pillow and sat up, swinging his legs over the edge so they could dangle over the smooth floor.
"I've got skills." Tobias joked. Tobias's moment of sarcasm didn't change the air between Christina and him. Christina stayed cross, staring at the wall. The look upon her face would be enough to make 100's of armies wet their pants. To bad she was just staring at a wall. It stayed silent until Christina spoke.
"I honestly thought it would be me first." She croaked, blowing hair out of her face. Her short chopped, raven-black hair had gotten much longer. She hadn't bothered to cut it since they left Dauntless.
"What do you mean?"
"The first one to... You know... To start dying." She whispered. A shiver went up Tobias's spine, so violent that is shook his bed. Christina noticed.
"Sorry." She sniffed. Tobias shook his head, forgiving.
"It's fine. I think she'll live. But she won't be the same." The air between them became awkward and they sat their, squirming on their beds, Tobias turning to punch his pillow every once and a while and Christina rising to pace around the room. The period of awkward was ended when a teenage boy, clad in nurse's wear hurtled into the room, nearly knocking the pacing Christina off her feet.
"Sorry!" He helped Chrisitna become steady before contiuing.
"I have great news!" The boy panted. Tobias perked up, his eyes hopeful as he glanced at the boy and Christina smiled weakly.
"We have found out what is wrong with Tris."
