I wake up to see Shraddha sound asleep in my arms. I cannot stand the thought of losing her. My phone starts ringing. I slowly put her head on the pillow and leave the room to answer my phone so I don't wake her up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Sidharth, it's me Alia."
"Hey what's up?" I ask.
"Just called to see if Shraddha's ok."
"She's fine she's just a little scared. She's not showing it but I know it isn't easy." I say.
"If you need anything I'm a call away." She says.
"I will do." I end the call.
I go downstairs to see mum setting the table up for breakfast.
"Good morning Mum." I walk into the dining room.
"Good morning beta." She smiles.
Shraddha soon walks in. "Good morning."
"How you feeling?" Mum asks her.
"I feel okay but the dizziness comes and goes."
"Have some breakfast." Mum says and serves us breakfast.
Shraddha barely eats, I can tell she's scared. I take her plate and start feeding her. She eats nicely. Soon we get ready to leave to go to the hospital.
"Good luck." Mum hugs her.
Her eyes slowly fill up with tears. We then leave. The car is dead silent. She fidgets with her fingers. I park up outside the hospital and take her hand in mines. "I'm going to be by your side the whole way through."
Tears fall down her cheeks. "What if I don't make it?"
"You will. Your gonna fight this illness." I say.
We get out of the car and walk into the hospital. Her grip tightens on my hand as her steps become smaller.
"Mr Sidharth Malhotra?" The specialist approaches me.
"Yes?"
"Hi I'm the specialist treating your wife." She shakes my hand. "We should get started so follow me."
We go into her cabin. "Shraddha we're going to start with you having a scan and then we can see what to do from there."
Shraddha then gets changed into the hospitals dressing gown and is taken in for the scan. I help her sit comfortably but she pushes me away. "I'm fine ."
