Chapter 16

Alia's POV

"It's a baby girl!" The doctor hands me my baby.

"She's beautiful!" Varun exclaims.

All the girls walk in.

"Say hi to all your crazy Masi's princess." I say in a baby voice.

"Omg she's so cuteee!" Shraddha exclaims as she takes the baby in her arms.

"Alia she looks so much like you!" Jacqueline states.

"Have you guys named her?" Taapsee asks.

"Umm I have a name but Varun just needs to agree with it." I say.

"What name did you pick?!" Both Kriti and Pari ask.

"Ananya."

"It's perfect!" Varun smiles and we both get lost into each other's eyes.

"Ahem! We're right here!" The girls snap us back to reality.

We all laugh.

Suddenly Ananya starts winging.

"Oh no she's crying Alu! Take her." Shraddha panics.

"Shraddha just cradle her she will stop crying."

"Anyway she's gonna need the practice." Jacqueline giggles.

"What was that?" Shraddha asks.

"I just said that I've never seen you looking after kids."

"Oh god Alu calm her down!" She passes Ananya back to me.

I cradle her and she soon becomes quiet. "See it's not that hard."

"She's a newborn so I got a little worried." She says.

"Don't worry you'll get used to it." I smirk.

Shraddha being Shraddha stays oblivious to our hints.

Sidharth's POV

Shraddha comes back home. "Alia had a baby girl." She smiles.

"Wow that's great!" I say feeling happy for the new parents.

"She's so adorable."

"I can't wait till we have our own baby." I hold her hand. "Imagine having a mini you or a mini me."

She chuckles. "Our life would be complete."

"Did the specialist call you to tell you how your routine check up was?" I ask.

"No not yet. I'm so glad this is the last check up. I'm sick of these tests." She sighs.

"Well they're only doing these tests to make sure your okay Shraddha." I wrap my arms around her. "Shall we have a lazy movie day?"

"Yeah let me just go get changed." She kisses my cheek.

Shraddha's POV

I go into my bedroom and change. As I come out the bathroom my phone rings.

"Yes my Alu Parotha?" I answer.

"I want you to come to mine tomorrow!" She states.

"Okie dokie once Sidharth leaves for work I'll come straight to yours. Do you need anything for yourself or do you want anything for Ananya?"

"I'll text you if I need anything. See you tomorrow." She says.

"See you." I end the call.

Within a second my phone rings again.

"Hello?"

"Hi Shraddha, I've just called to let you know about your check up." The doctor says.

"Yes doctor?" I ask.

"Your reports have come, and they state that your pregnant."

I freeze thinking of the worst.

"Doctor the baby won't be in any sort of danger will it?"

"No but your life can be. I don't think your fit enough to carry the baby. You've just been treated for your illness and your weak. I'm scared that complications will arise during the 9 months of your pregnancy and at the time of your delivery but we're not 100% sure. There's a small chance that everything can go well but It's the best for you to abort the baby and wait till you have completely recovered. You should talk to Sidharth and consider this."

"Yeah doctor I will thank you." I end the call.

Sidharth's so excited to have a baby I can't take his happiness away from him. If I tell him about the possible complications then he will make me abort the baby. I won't kill an innocent life even if I loose mine.

The next day...

I go to Alia's apartment to see her sound asleep on the sofa and Ananya wide awake in her Moses basket.

"I'm off to work just let Alia sleep in for a while." Varun says and leaves.

I pick Ananya up and walk around the room cradling her. After an hour of bonding with Ananya, Alia wakes up.

"When did you come?" She asks.

"A while ago." I rest Ananya on my shoulder and sit beside Alia.

"Look how she's gone to sleep on your shoulder." She smiles.

"Umm Alu my doctor called me yesterday and told me I'm pregnant." I tell her.

"Woah congrats!"

"But there are complications...." I explain. "I'm gonna tell Sidharth but I can't tell him about the complications it'll break his heart completely."

"Shraddha you should to be honest. You can't keep him in the dark he is your husband." Alia states.

"I know...but there is a chance where everything can go well...."

Alia had a baby girl! Shraddha's pregnant! But there's complications! Will she tell Sidharth about the complications? What's gonna happen next?
