"I'm thinking its probably just a squirrel or something." I thought aloud.

We walked up the dusty stairs and heard a sound of something tearing. As we reached the top, the sound stopped and we noticed something.

The duct tape that Dad applied to the mysterious door was halfly torn off. "Oh my." Ricky said soflty.

"Did you do this?" I asked Ricky.

"Why would you think I did this?" Ricky sounded a little offended.

"Well you've been thinking about how that old lady Lucille is doing lately." I said.

"Well that doesn't mean I wanted to go back there!" Ricky yelled.

"Well who could've tried to tear this tape off to see the door again?" I aksed.

"I don't know!" Ricky yelled again. "But I know it wasn't me!"

"Okay, calm down." I said softly. I tried to hug him but he quickly turned away and ran downstairs. "Wait!" I yelled. "Don't leave me up here by myself!"

Then I heard some footsteps behind me and I froze for a moment. I felt a cold breeze and a small tap on my shoulder. I yelped and I quickly ran downstairs.

I opened the door to our bedroom and found Ricky under his covers. "Hey, you okay?"

"No." Ricky responded kind of mean.

"Why?" I asked.

"I just hate it when people accuse me of stupid crap that I didn't do."

"Well I'm sorry." I apologized hoping it made him feel better. But I just heard silence.

I shrugged and returned to my game.

I heard Mom call us down for dinner so I got up and went downstairs into the dining room.

"Where's Ricky?" Dad asked.

I looked behind me and I noticed nothing. "I thought he was behind me." I said and I went back upstairs to find him.

I checked under he covers where I thought he laid for the past 30 minutes but he wasn't there. I searched everywhere in our bedroom. Then I searched J.D. and Lucille's room and Mom and Dad's room. I checked the bathroom and called his name in the attic. There was no sign of him.

"I can't find him." I said in a worried tone.

"What do you mean you can't find him?" Mom asked.

"I searched everywhere."

"Do you think he went to the door?" J.D. asked.

"I would've noticed him go out of our bedroom so no." I answered.

"Oh where could my baby be???" Mom was starting to freak out.

"Don't panic." Dad tried to calm her down. "We'll go and search for him."

"Ok. L-let's on a searching hunt."
