I'm stuck in the prison of my mind,
searching for something I can never find
tormented by the memories I can't forget
til my body is screaming and covered in sweatThere's no escape from this darkness,
all my friends think that I'm heartless
but they don't know the real me
hidden beneath all the tragedyToo many late nights over faded pages
it's only been a minute, but it feels like ages
they say rainbows have their riches
but for me there's only stitchesOne more day till freedom, just one
but it feels like this war can never be won
the end seems so far; like you'll never wake
but don't let your heart stutter, or your voice shakeJust keep you head up kid, don't give up yet
hard times don't last forever, unlike regret
survivors gain their strength, trust me I know
for when this is all over, I'll say I told you so–leonardo r.
