Chapter one: Heavy weights

Revali presses his hands to the ground. He summons up a feeling of courage and hope then pushes off. Soaring through the air feeling the adrenaline rush of Revalis gale. He stares around in the distance is his beloved village he is completely surrounded by ice and snow the beautiful tundra. Behind him a small pillar of smoke rises into the night sky. He sees a small person huddled next to it. Yes he's the most fabulous and talented of all the Rito but even he can't see clearly when it's that far away.

The speck in the distance stands up and walks to the cliff face. He doesn't notice the black Rito behind him, he doesn't realise that the Rito in question can hear his cries of pain and defeat. He walks to the edge stares down at the darkness below him. Feels that same darkness in his heart. He braces himself and leaps. The darkness receiving him like a hug. He doesn't care that it's the end. Nobody would really care yes he was the chosen one but another can always be chosen. Suddenly from above a cage closes around his middle the force causing him to gasp another closes around his legs. Up above him is a bird. No a Rito a master of the skies. He squirms wanting to fall. The Rito holds on tighter and flaps is slick black wings into the night taking him to safety.

When they arrive Revali actually looks at the man no the boy he's no older than seventeen his pale pinched face has several healing wounds and bruises huge bags under his eyes showing a lack of sleep. Yes he looked broken but he was still incredibly beautiful. His face was perfectly framed by dirty blonde hair. Tassels and matts covered his entire head. Revali clicks his beak. Poor guy doesn't even have time to groom himself. He is wearing a snow quill outfit so he can survive the cold. He is short and painfully skinny yet has the feel of a warrior. Finally Revali takes it upon himself to speak
"What the calamity do you think you were doing," he asks quite calmly for such an aggressive sentence.
The boy simply attempts to sign. Revali knows a lot of sign language actually however this boys wasn't very successful as his fingers were stiff with cold and shock. He tries again
"I was jumping" he simply signed.
"Why" asks Revali
"So nobody has to deal with me anymore as they all hate me even more than I hate myself"
"Why would they hate you...."
"Link"
"Yes link why would they hate you"
"Because I'm a burden"
"No" Revali suddenly said " I will not have this you are not a burden. You are amazing you are beautiful and you seem kind and brave you radiate a warmth and love around you like I have never seen before"
A rare smile lights up the boys face making him look even more beautiful than before.
"Thankyou" is signed simply before the boy turns to take his leave
"Revali" is announced simply by the hero of the skies
"Yes thankyou Revali"
The boy leaves leaving Revali with a smile and a blush under his cheeks
