She ran towards the figure, "ALEC! ALEC YOU FOUND ME!"
The figure tackled her and pinned her down, grinning with it's broken sharp teeth.
Her head hit the ground with a loud, THUNK, and as her vision cleared she realized it was not Alec. Didn't even look like him except the hair.
It was a beast. It's sun darkened skin gleamed with sweat and blood, it's eyes looked at her then around wildly.
The beast gave a half cackle half howling noise which gave Olivia shivers.
She tried to get up but the beast was heavy, it's naked body pinned hers down easily.
The beast leaned down and it's terrible breath stung her eyes.
Its tongue licks the sweat off her face and it smiles.
Olivia looked at it's face and realized it was a male. She would of noticed by it's parts but she didn't want to look that low.
He laughed one more time before going to bite her throat.
She screamed and closed her eyes.
Soon she felt blood dripping down her neck and onto her face.
She felt no pain but could still feel the sticky blood.
The body pressed harder on her... then fell off.
Olivia opened her eyes in time to see Doctor Smith pull her sword out of the beasts head, "I said to run what the hell were you thinking?"
"I...i..." Olivia was deathly pale, the turned and threw up the pineapple from earlier. She continued to gag for a few more moments, holding her throat and checking for any wound.
Doctor Smith handed her a water bottle, "that Alec guy...look he probably isn't....going to find you okay?"
Olivia stared at the ground then at the body, "...we should go."
She stood up, shaking still, and grabbed Junipers hand.
Junipers eyes were closed, doctor's orders, and she grips Olivia's hand with a great strength. The strength of fear.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Olivia trudged behind the two, depressed and ashamed. Embarrassed mostly. She almost died because she thought she saw her ex...ex what? Boyfriend didn't seem to do him justice.
She pushed the thought out of her head and blinked the water out of her eyes, she didn't even realized it was raining.
She was greatfull for that, it hid her tears.
"Chin up Olivia." Doctor Smith chined, managing to light another cigarette.
Olivia hugged herself, trying to stay warm, "can we stop for the night?"
"No not yet. Now hurry up or you'll get lost."
She didn't realize how far away she was from the others until she looked up.
She tried to catch up, trudging through the water, the road flooding quickly.
Doctor Smith turned to chine more, then her face fell, the cigarette dropped from her mouth, "Olivia come her now."
Olivia expected another beast, she broke out into a run, but something grabbed her hair, pulling her back.
The next thing she knew, there was a knife to her throat.
"Well hello there." A cold smooth voice whispered into her ear.
Olivia shivered and locked eyes with Doctor Smith, help.
Doctor Smith pushed Juniper behind her, "sir we can talk about this."
"How are you on food?" The man asked, eyeing Juniper.
"Let her go and you can have it...only enough for a week but it's all we have." Doctor Smith stepped farther in front of Juniper.
The man smiled, his white teeth flashing, "I don't want your food. I want the children. I will give you food for them of course."
Doctor Smith laughed at that, "of course not. No deal."
"I could kill her." The knife dug deeper into her neck.
Doctor Smith shakes her head, "don't. Let's...calm down...what's your name?"
"You can call me Venit." He nodded to Juniper, "now come over here, sweetie."
"Why do you want them?" Doctor Smith inquired, studying Venit.
Venit grinned, his teeth flashing again, "you don't need to know."
He took off his own bag with his extra hand and threw it at Doctor Smith, "take it and leave the kid. Or I can kill this one. Then you. Then take the young one."
"...Juniper run." She pushed Juniper away and pulled out her own sword.
Venit sighed, "Juniper. Come over here."
Juniper stiffened, "don't hurt her okay?"
"There's a good girl. Now come over here." Venit placed his hand over Olivia's front so she can't run.
Juniper looked at Doctor Smith, "don't worry about us okay?" Then she walked over.
