"Brendon, could you go get Lily for breakfast?" I yelled from the kitchen as the smell of freshly baked pancakes surrounded my nose. I heard feet walking behind me and I felt hands go around my waist. I smiled and looked toward my husband as he placed a kiss to my cheek.

"Of course, beautiful." He said walking toward our daughters room. I smiled and placed all the pancakes onto a plate and set them on the table.

I heard my daughters laughter as she ran down the stairs with Brendon chasing her. She giggled as he picked her up and tickled her.

"Daddy stop. It tickles." She laughed. Brendon laughed and kissed her forehead gently. He set her down and she immediately ran over to me and hugged my leg tightly.

"Good morning mommy." She said happily. I smiled and kneeled down so I was at her height.

"Good morning angel. How did you sleep?" I asked as she sat at the table already trying to reach for a pancake. Brendon pulled the plate away, which made her giggle once again.

"Super super good." She said as I placed the butter and syrup down. Brendon put a pancake on her plate and she immediately dug in. I laughed lightly as Brendon put one in his and started doing the same.

My 4 year old daughter and my 30 year old husband were exactly the same. They had the same personality and they looked very alike.

"Brendon, I have to leave early for work today so I need you to watch this little one." I said pointing toward Lily. She smiled happily at Brendon and he laughed at her bubbly happiness.

"I can do that." He said while putting another pancake on his plate. I looked over at Lily and smiled.

"I need you to watch Daddy." I said holding back a laugh. She giggled and looked over at Brendon.

"I can do that." She said lowering her voice to mock Brendon. He looked over at her and acted shocked.

"Excuse me little girl. Are you mocking me?" She smiled and ran from the table. Brendon got up from the table and started to chase after her. I grabbed his hand lightly and looked at him expectantly.

"Be careful." I said. He smiled and kissed me passionately before winking.

"I always am." I squinted my eyes at him and laughed sarcastically.

"Sure you are." Brendon liked to play with Lily, but sometimes they got a bit rough. She would get some bruises and Brendon would as well.

For example, the other day I was in my office and I heard Brendon knock quietly. I looked over and saw him looking down with guilt. He opened the door more and I saw Lily holding her finger as if it were going to fall off.

"Come here princess." I said motioning for her. She walked over and held her finger out so that I could see her injury. It wasn't bleeding, but it was bruising badly. Her finger was already a light purple and by tomorrow would be a mix of dark purple and blue.

"Sweetheart what happened?" I asked concerned as I examined her finger closely. I looked up at her face and saw that her brown eyes were red from crying.

"Daddy and me were playing tag and he slammed the door on my finger." I looked up at Brendon and saw the tears rushing to his eyes. I looked back down at Lily and smiled lightly.

"Lily, you will be fine. We can put some ice on it and it will be brand new in no time. And I'm sure that daddy didn't mean to slam your finger in the door." I said pointing over toward Brendon who came closer to the two of us now. She nodded and looked at Brendon.

"I'm sorry darling. I didn't mean to hurt you." Brendon said while rubbing her cheek lightly. She embraced him in a hug to which he hugged her small frame tightly as well.

"It's ok. I still love you." Brendon smiled as a tear slipped down his face.

"I love you too. Now why don't you go run that under some cold water in the bathroom while me and Mommy talk." She nodded and slipped off to the bathroom. Brendon sighed and sat in the chair next to me. I turned my chair so that I was in front of him and he looked down at his lap. I took his hands and rubbed them lightly.

"Brendon, it was an accident. Lily is fine." I said trying to cheer him up. This had been happening more and more lately. Brendon would do one little thing wrong and he acts like it's the worst thing that has ever happened. Lily is fine and he has nothing to worry about.

"What if I mess up another time and she isn't ok?" He asked me as he looked into my eyes. I smiled and shook my head lightly.

"Brendon you would never do anything to hurt Lily and I'm pretty sure you couldn't even hurt her badly if it was an accident. You need to stop worrying so much." I said, making him smile lightly. He had been doubting himself and his abilities to be a father after Lily was born. He got nervous when she would cry or when she would wake up in the middle of the night, which is normal for new parents, but Brendon just over worried.
*Back to present time*

I grabbed my purse as I went to the Front door. Lily and Brendon were playing with Lily's dolls which made me laugh. Brendon was wearing a crown and was making the dolls talk as if they were at a ball. I opened the door and Brendon looked up with a smile.

"Not so fast." He said getting up and walking toward me. I smiled and went over to him.

"I love you." He said while placing a kiss to my lips. I smiled into the kiss as I heard Lily say ew.

"I love you too." I said. Brendon walked back over to Lily and she proceeded to wave to me as I walked out the door.

My life at the moment sounds like a fan fiction where everything is perfect and people have the perfect family life.

It might sound like that, but there is something different about my family.

A/N: I don't know how I feel about this yet. I might take it down and try to rewrite it, but I think I'll just see how this goes. There will also be slow updates because I just started school again. As I'm writing more though, I'm starting to like it, so I would maybe keep reading.
