Daniel fought at the restraints that he was strapped down by, they were fastened to his wrists tight. He continued to struggle and soon his hands grew sweaty, twisting his right hand around in the cuff, he slowly wriggled it out of the strap, before yanking the rest of it out of the hole and pulling off the restraint on his other hand, the sound of tearing velcro echoing against the walls.

He froze and waited for any faint noises, but there was nothing but silence. He rubbed his wrists whilst he started to sit up, attempting to swing his legs over the side of the bed, but instead toppled down to the floor, the bed crashing down with him. Feeling down his legs, Daniel noticed there were restraints strapped around his ankles, and he ripped them off, getting back up and fumbling around in the darkness.

Stopping for a moment to make sure nobody were approaching. He then continued making his way to an exit, guiding his hands along the wall, his hand ran over something that felt to be in the shape of a door handle. He gripped it and twisted, but it only rattled.

Locked. Damnit. He cursed his luck as he turned from the door and began groping the air, taking slow, cautious movements as he proceeded away from the wall and stumbled around blindly in the darkness. His hands touched the smooth, glossy texture of another wall, his feet cold on the tile floor. Moving along the wall, he placed his hands on another handle and twisted it, and it creaked open.

Taking a deep breath, he pushed it open a fraction more, squeezing through it, his feet making a quiet patting sound on the tile floor. His body was shaky and he was beginning to perspire as he continued making his way against the wall of the dark corridor, but he stopped dead in his tracks as he noticed the red light in the corner above him.

He froze, and instantly started backing away. Turning, he quickened his pace, feeling around the darkness. Stumbling, he slammed into a wall, which made a loud thump that echoed along the empty corridor. His eyes widened and he quickly felt along the wall until he felt the door handle and grasped it, twisting it to open the door, but his hand was too sweaty to turn it.

He turned his head and heard distant voices, and saw lights flashing along the walls of the lightening corridor. Wiping his hands furiously on his garments, he turned the handle again roughly, pushing forcefully against the door, which flew open as he fell to the floor.

He quickly scrambled to his feet and closed the door as gently and quickly as he could, the sounds of the voices and scuffing of shoes increasing. Stumbling along the wall to his right, he let go of it, feeling around the air until he stumbled into the bed.

As he picked it up, something caught his eye and he looked up to see another little red light, and he felt his face go pale as he realised he had been being watched, and they already knew he had gotten free.

Flinging himself onto the bed, he fastened his feet in the straps, before fastening his left hand back into it's undone strap and attempting to slide his right hand back into it's still fastened strap, but he couldn't do it.

He tried bringing his left hand up to it to get it in but he couldn't move it close enough. He slipped his fingers in as best he could before bringing his arm down to the bed. The voices were right outside the door and he could hear the handle twisting, as he went motionless. A light was turned on and Daniel squinched his eyes, but quickly relaxed them as best he could.

"Hourly checkup! Reinforce his restraints! Check in with the surveillance room three monitor!" Marcus's harsh voice commanded.

Daniel pretended to be fast asleep, as he heard the sound of approaching footsteps and he felt his left arm gripped roughly and someone held his right wrist, inspecting it.
