Irene was standing at the door, with armed officers either side and behind her. Aidelle backed away slowly as Daniel's eyes grew wide.
"Hello Daniel. It's nice to see you again, I see you've made your stay for the night in this motel. The nice man at the counter gave us a ring and I told him to book you in, because I'm nice like that. So, I figured why not pay you a visit while you enjoyed your stay?" she spoke in an evil, mocking tone.
"Irene..." Daniel said slowly as he glared at her.
She chuckled and ordered the men to step into the room, and Aidelle fell over as one of them pushed past her, and she quickly scrambled up against the far wall. The men gathered around the bed that Daniel was still sitting on, unmoving.
"Cuff him and take him back to the lab, make sure he doesn't do anything stupid," she said, demandingly.
Daniel's face turned into a frown and he grit his teeth.
"You're not going to do that," Daniel growled.
"Who's to stop me? I have the authority. You are wanted Daniel. If you try and use your mind tricks on us then we'll just have to shoot you. So, don't do anything stupid."
Two men got behind Daniel and handcuffed him, before tightening them around his wrists and dragging him off the bed to his feet.
"Is that what you want? Then what will you be without your test subject, you'd need me alive in order to study me, I'm sure you wouldn't have much use for a dead specimen would you?"
Irene laughed at him, and lifted up her shirt slightly, displaying a gun holster. Daniel's expression hadn't changed, but Aidelle's eyes grew wide.
"I couldn't really care, so, like I already said, don't do anything stupid," she repeated.
"Sure you wouldn't," his eyes rolled up into his head and he tightened his grip on the men behind him, who were still holding onto the cuffs. Their legs began to shake, and they started to cry out in pain, the other men pulling out their guns and pointing them at Daniel, but Irene motioned for them to lower their weapons.
Aidelle's eyes grew wider and her mouth opened in shock.
"Stop it Daniel. I'm warning you," Irene said in a stern tone, as she slowly raised her hand to her gun holster.
Daniel turned his head slightly, and the men behind him began to convulse, collapsing to the floor going limp. The other officers' bodies beginning to shake as well.
"Daniel, stop this now," she demanded as she slowly withdrew her gun.
"No! Please don't!" Aidelle screamed to Irene, who didn't glance at her. Aidelle then turned back to Daniel, pleading him, "Dan! Please, stop it!"
The men's bodies collapsed to the floor, and Irene pointed the gun at Daniel.
"I'm sorry," she said, turning her head to Aidelle, who looked back at her with pleading eyes.
Irene turned her head to look back at Daniel, and pulled the trigger.
Daniel's body slowly slumped down to the floor, the bullet wound in the centre of his chest beginning to seep blood through to his clothes. His eyes slowly rolled back down and his eyelids dropped over his pupils, before his body lifelessly collapsed forward and fell to the carpet floor with a thud.
Aidelle screamed and began to cry, falling to her knees on the floor, her hands covering her face as she sobbed uncontrollably. Irene's arm went limp and it swung beside her, and she looked down at Aidelle.
"I'm sorry," she repeated.
"Get out! Get out! Get out!" Aidelle screamed up at her as loudly as she could.
Irene slowly walked out of the room as Aidelle rushed over to Daniel, studying his body, her lip trembling. She watched the blood gush out from the wound on his chest. Resting her head on his chest, she listened for a heart beat. Nothing. She placed her fingers underneath his chin to check for a pulse. Nothing.
Cupping her hands together, she pressed down hard on the centre of his chest, attempting to resuscitate him. But the more she pushed, the more blood poured out from the wound.
"Come on Dan! Please! Please don't do this!" She wailed as tears streamed down her face, his chest heaving as she continuously pushed against it.
"Please! Please Dan! Please come back! I'm sorry!" Aidelle screamed at the top of her lungs.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I got mad, I know you killed my dad but I didn't mean what I said! I don't want you dead too! Please don't go!" She screamed, still attempting to resuscitate him.
"No, no, no, no, no!" She cried aloud, giving up and collapsing beside him. Her body quivered as she gasped in sobs, wailing, her sight blinded by tears.
