TWELVE

     Lavanjah watch from the brown couch as all the kids cuddle up to kat as she reads to them. Simone was between her legs with the book in front of him. Her twin niece and Nephew; Sari and Samuelson was on her right sucking their thumbs together while they listen to Kat reading to them. A few of her other cousin kids were cuddle up, almost fast asleep as she reads to them.

He watch as Simone turn in her lap lift up her blouse and stuck his small hand in clothes and close his eyes ready to dose off.
       
          "This is one of the reason everyone in the family always pay top money to have kat babysit. She is fabulous with kids." Samuel said joining him on the sofa with a beer. "A trait she got from our mom." he smiled sipping his beer.

"I can see that." he replied still starring at her. They both watch as Samuelson throw his leg over his sister's before finally falling asleep. "Aunty Kat," One of the kids call out.

"I want to pee," she said holding between her legs. Vanessa walked in with a couple blanket.

"I'll take her." she whispered as Kat smiled and continue to read.

"I told her to open a daycare but she decline. She wants to become an Event planner/Magazine Photo Editor." Samuel .

"I guess she's great at her work too. " he said in a soft tone. Just as he stare at Kat and Hunter walked into the room and join them. Just as his cellphone rang, he glance at his phone to see it was Detective Hines.

"Excuse me, I got to take this." he stated before vacating the room to step out onto the patio.

He step out into the cool night, the stars glisten across the summer sky as he accept the call.

"I am afraid I got bad news." Detective Hines stated as he stood up straight were he stood.

"What was in the envelope?" he asked, not hiding the fact that he was interested and upset.

"It's a photo of a woman." he said. "A woman?" Lavanjah stated questionly as he run his hand along his neck back.

"I email you the photo a few hours ago so I thought you might be too busy or sleeping." Detective Hines said.

"Sorry I am out of town at a friend family reunion." He stated.

" Is it the friend that you've been looking for from the bar." Detective Hines asked with a hint of glee in his tone.

"How did you?"

"We both know my step son can't keep his big mouth shut." he said as he remembered that Romaine Mom married Detective Hines last year after he saved her from a murderous stalker, Mrs. Hines is a well known Fashion Designer slash novelist on the rise.

"Yes I finally found her." he said with a smile on his lips. " I am happy for you, can't wait to meet her. I mean after all this settle down." he stated .

"When you get time please check the email because the facial recognition isn't picking her up. It's like she doesn't exist." he said as a knock sounded behind him, he turn to find Hunter.

"I'll check that email as soon as possible and get back to you. I'll call you tomorrow." he said and disconnected the call.

"Papa Declan wants me to lock up. It's a rule around her that the males make sure the women and kids are safe inside." He said.

"Everything OK," he pointed to the phone. "Yeah, Just some last minute note with a friend." he said. As Hunter look out into the yard.

"Hello!" he shouted stepping out into the yard. Lavanjah turn just in time to see someone shadow turn away.

    Hunter sprint down the stairs to find a box on the lawn, Lavanjah follow suit and while Hunter sprint off to see who it was he glance down using the light on his phone to see it was a box with Katherine  scribble on top of it. Just as he was about to pick it.

      "Don't you dare touch it!" Hunter shouted as Papa Declan and Stephanie one of his older son follow behind wearing blue gloves as Catherine stood on the patio watching while she spoke on her phone.

     "Where is Kat?" Hunter asked.

"She's fast asleep with the kids. I don't want her seeing these things. I almost lost her once, I am not going to loose her again." her father said clacking his gun.

    "It confirms it Dad, Aaron is back and up to no good." Stephanie stated.

"Is that the guy that came up to me at the charity ball?" he blurted out.

"Hunter!" Papa Declan gritted.

"Sorry it slips my mind. I got a licence firearm. I wouldn't let him touch her. " he said lifting up his shirt.

"It's the six gift in a week," Stephan stated " You need to get this bastard else I'll commit murder myself. You hear Me?" he gritted.

"Open it!" he said as Catherine appear up to them. "You should be in bed Cath, Let the men handle this."  her father said.

"He isn't apart of the family. So he should be in bed." Catherine said with disgust.

"I trust him." Papa Declan said.

"Thats what you said about Aaron couple months before he held Kat hostage in her own blood." Catherine stated.

"I am not a stalker or serial killer, my intentions of your sister is pure." he said.

"Then be a good boyfriend and go cuddle with your girlfriend instead of sneaking out of the room to talk to another." Catherine gritted.

"Catherine enough! I check him out before he got here. He's a good guy." Stephan said causing Lavanjah to stare at him.

   "Sorry, Papa Declan commands." he lifted his hand as he bend down to pulled the box apart.

"Another Victoria Secret lingerie." Stephan said as he lifted the note.

"What does it say?" Hunter asked.

"Your mine! I am going to kill that man if he touch you again." Stephan said.

Everyone turn and look at me. I gulp silently. "Sorry to pry where was the last place you both did it?" Stephan asked.

He couldn't tell them they both had a little moment at her work place that was out of the situation.

  "In my club where we met." he told them honestly. "Well that would explain the first gift appearing at her apartment. Luckily she's always running late and the security guard held on to until the FBI got there." Stephan said as Catherine smile to herself and turning away.

    "Why isn't this bastard caught yet?" Lavanjah asked.

"Because he thinks he's smarter than us. And he doesn't know he mess with the wrong family." Stephan said putting the stuff in a huge bag.

"And the only reason he didn't get to finish what he started because my woman gave birth to twins." Papa Declan said with eager lace in his voice and impatient in his stride towards the house.
