“So how was your weekend?” his mother asked sipping her Decaf herbal tea.
“It was eventful.” he answered honestly as an automatic smile appear on his handsome face.
“I see, I heard the Charity Ball went well. I am surprise Kat was on her best behaviour.” she said, biting into her blueberry pancake.
“She had the kids dancing and laughing in no time, even Mr. Walsh got lashing from his wife.” he told her.
“Molly never lied.” she smiled.
“How is the monthly magazine coming along?” she asked, shifting into the business woman she was as she reach for her cup of tea.
“Mother, everything is going well, there's no need to worry. How do you expect me to impress you if you keep messing into my vibe.” he stated a bit irritated.
“Alright, I only hope your not messing with any of my female staff. Especially your assistance.” She inquiries eyeing him.
“Mom,” he place his fork down.
“I know Amilio, but I got to ask, you got a soft spot for women and it tend to distract you alot.” she noted, she had a point but this time he got to say his distraction was worth it as his mind drift to Kat.
“I have control.” he said.
Just not with Katherine Durance.
“Guess who your father and I bump into last night?” he said changing the subject.
“Who?” he asked.
“Bridget Holmes, Apparently she's in town for a few weeks now and she told me you haven't call her.” she buttered her bread.
“Oh,” he uttered.
“I thought you would be taking things to the next level with her. She's really a beautiful sophisticated woman. And she's the only one since your high school that you dated for more six month. ” she inquiries.
“Mom I won't stick with a woman who stalk me for a living.” he stated, sipping his coffee.
“She does, I never took notice.” she smiled. He leaned back slightly and look at his mother . her flowing brunette hair was held back with turquoise colored hair band that match her skirt suit. Her slight natural make up continue to enhanced her olive skin tone with honey toast marble eyes that gaze at me lovingly.
“I guess she's the ideal woman you would like to see me settle down with but she isn't for me.” he mumbled out loud.
“I thought that she was your type.” she pouted, sipping from her glass of lemonade.
“My type is fun, loud, opinionated , feisty and excites me to no ends.” he said, glancing across the room where he saw Kelsey rushing towards someone.
“Loud?”
“Plus she must know how to handle my mom when she decided to get out of hand or inquisitive. ” he smiled at her innocently.
“I forgot how much you like to be challenge. I praying when you find her, its someone I like.” she stated.
“Yeah.” he uttered, taking his orange Juice to his thick lips. He flicker his gaze to the direction he saw Kelsey running, shifting his gaze along the corridor to see her joining someone at the table but he couldn't see who it was.
Why was he so hatch on watching his assistant on a Sunday morning maybe it was the point that he's getting slightly paranoid about the photo he had tried to analyzed last night. It was a picture of an Asian mixed race woman with flowing black hair, two boys sitting identically beside her while a baby was in her arm as she stare at the camera. Plus it was so obnoxious that she got an apartment in the same complex as he did, especially two doors down.
