Osoru sighs. She finally made it into the Deca tower and was sitting with 6 other inklings waiting for just one person to join their game. Her feet dangled above the floor and she took quiet deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. Turf wars always made her heart beat faster than usual. She continued to do this until an inkling girl probably still on level 4 walked in. Osoru could tell that the other inklings didn't like this, for that would mean that one team would be at a disadvantage. The inkling soon were sorted into teams and the teams appeared at moray towers. The wind blew and Osoru swayed, slightly bumping into the level 5 inkling next to her.
"Oh! i'm so sorry-"
Watch where your going!" The inkling said, annoyed.
Osoru started to apologize, bu the match started and the other inkling started to ink and was out of sight within seconds. Osoru worriedly started inking the ground herself not wanting to lose. I guess i should head for the middle then. She checked her map and to her surprise it was fully covered in green. the enemy hadn't even reached the middle yet! She headed down toward the middle and up the enemy ramp to with the rest of her team. They didn't meet any enemy squids on the way because so everyone's surprise the beginner was obviously not a beginner at all! She was a pro. Barely Leaving any spots for the rest of their team to ink themselves.

Osoru checked the map again and noticed that a enemy had escaped and was slowly taking the middle. she left her team and headed toward the middle, the inkling was slowly working their way up into their own area and Osoru stared inking everything herself. The enemy realized that someone was following them and he turned around and started firing at Osoru, covering her in thick pink ink. But she swam around the inkling and threw ink over him twice and splatted him. She continued to cover up the pink in until the match was over. They won by a complete landslide and the beginner had 12 kill in all and had the most points out of all 7 of the inklings.

Every single match went somewhat like this for the next half hour, and by the time the stages changed, the beginner was on level 12. Osoru was tired and decided to take a quick break. Walking out into the sunlight she spotted the not really beginner inkling from before leaning against the wall, looking at her squid phone.
Osoru walked up to her timidly. "E-excuse me," She started,
The inkling looked up at her and said nothing so she continued.
"I'm s-sorry for bumping into earlier, It was an accident!"
The inkling just stared at her, and an awkward silence passed through them both.
The inkling then patted her on the head, "Good luck," she said, and walked off.
Extremely confused, Osoru said nothing. She stood there, long after she left thinking. She hugged her tri slosher close.
"Thank you."
She smiled to herself.

She smiled to herself. starting to walk home, she suddenly remembered,

"I NEED TO ENROLL FOR SCHOOL TOMORROW!!" Osoru immediately started to panic. Summer is ending already! i need to get my classes set up too! she started walking faster and faster all the way home. School?! I'm not prepared at all!! She ran up the steps of her apartment, and immediately started throwing her gear into boxes to take with her.
Hours later, everything was packed, and in several boxes by her door.
Osoru paced back and fourth on her squid phone, making, and remaking a schedule for the next day.
"If I can wake up at 7:30, i can make it to the school at 8 to enroll in classes, get my uniform, and bring my gear up to the dorm and finish around 12! Maybe. Then I could take a 30 minute break before I unpack and get ready for the next day." She continued to go over her schedule when her phone buzzed with a text from Awọn.
'Hey nerd! '
'please don't call me that.'
'Are you registering for classes tomorrow?'
'yes'
'Can I join you?'
'sure, but i'll be leaving at 7:30 in the morning'
'why so early?!?!'
'have things planned'

'is everything you do planned?'

'Actually yes!'

'ok fine, i'll meet you there. so around 8 then?'

'yeah''see you then!'

'bye'

She sets her phone on the table and heads for bed. Tomorrow is gonna be a loooong day.
