Annabelle

"Anna, how did you do it so perfect last time?" I heard Angelo groan out from the bathroom.

I walk to the bathroom and see him at the mirror trying to style his hair, which wasn't turning out too good.

"So apparently after I do your hair one time you don't know how to do your own hair?" I asked him with my left brow raised.
He gave me that 'don't start' look and went back to trying to style his hair.

I walk up to him and take the comb. "Sit down" I told him pointing to the stool. After he sat down I went in front of him.

His hair is what I would call white boy curly so sometimes it doesn't wanna cooperate with the hairstyle he always does.
I smoothed the sides down with the gel I bought him when I offered to style his hair a few days ago and then combed the middle back.

When I was done it looked pretty good.

"Thank you tesoro" he said when he saw his hair

"Thank you tesoro" he said when he saw his hair.
"Mhm" I responded. He just wanted me to do his hair. He's been doing it too long to forget it.

"I'll see you later, I should be back home around 7 ok?" He said and pecked my forehead.

I nodded.
"Ok."

After he left I went into the kitchen to get a snack.
I open the freezer and take out cookies 'n cream ice cream.

I walk upstairs to our bedroom and decided watch some crochet videos on YouTube. It's a hobby I found myself becoming interested in but I can't crochet for shit. I had Angelo buy me the supplies and everything so I figured I'd at least try to get better. I was hoping to be able to crochet my kids blankets and stuff.

My phone began to ring and I pick it up and look at the caller ID. It's Tara from the park that day.

We surprisingly had a lot in common.
"Hello?" I answer the phone.
"Hi Annabelle, I was just calling to see if you would like to go somewhere with me today." She asked.
"Uh, maybe...where?" I asked her not sure if I get like going out today. Lazy days are my best friend.
"There's a coffee shop around the corner from the park we met at, I was thinking we could go there and just, you know, hang out?" She asked nervously.

Let's see I have to make an executive decision here.
Bed tv and ice cream, or girl you just met that seems nice and coffee.
I sigh
"I don't know..." I said.

"Please, I just want to get to know you better, I feel like we have a lot in common and I don't really have a lot of friends." She said anxiously.
She really sounds desperate.

"Does this coffee shop have food, that I would actually consider buying?" I asked.

If I'm going to be taken from my ice cream and the comfort of my home, I need to make sure this place is offering something good to eat.

"Ooh yes, they sell these cookies that are to die for." She said.
"Ok I'll go." I told her.
"Ok thanks I'll see you there and I'll send you the address in case you get lost!" She told me and hung up.

A couple of second later I get a notification and look to see that it's the address to the coffee shop.

I sigh
Time to get out of bed.
