"Bonjour!" She said
"Um....Hi?" I replied
"Oh English" she said. Kind of disappointed sounding.
"Are you a skater? You seem like it." She asked
"Yeah. I compete this evening."
"Oh cool! I'm in the girls junior division. I was wondering if you could help me with a couple jumps for the competition I have tomorrow?"
That's right, there's a juniors comp tomorrow evening.
"Yeah sure! Which ones?"
I helped her with a few of her jumps.
I don't know why she needed help, she did them perfectly.
When we are done she and I go to the outside of the rink. I go to the concession stand and buy us both a water.
I come back and hand it to her.
"Oh, thanks!" She says.
"Also," She continues "what's your name?"
I remembered that I had never told it to her and am a bit embarrassed.
"Oh that'd be good to know huh? Heheh. My name's Clay." I said.
"Ohhh Okay. My names Kari." She said.
"Okay then. Hi Kari." I say trying not to sound too awkward.
She took a drink of her water.
Said thank you.
And left.
That night I couldn't stop thinking about Kari and I don't know why. She's an amazing skater.
