The Truth

-Mustang's POV-

I walked around my office worrying a bit when Envy didn't come back, but just then Envy came stumbling into the room I looked at him hope fully "Edward..?" I asked. he just shook his head and looked down. "Damned Homunculous..this is all your fault!" I said get more furious. "If you hadn't attacked me he wouldn't have gone missing!"

"Really? And what about your sick games?" Envy started, "Don't kid yourself, Mustang, you know how humans love to watch other people suffer while making fools of themselves. I mean, why else would you constantly be at war with each other?"

"Shut up, you know running makes you look guilty." I said seeing the smirk disappear from his face. "Hmm. There really is nothing quite like watching fools dig their own graves. Especially, when that fool is an arrogant Homunculus who's too stupid to see what he's doing. I've humored you long enough. So how about you answer a question of mine? I want you to tell me who killed Maes Hughes. And I want the truth, Homunculus." I said, finally saying what I had been wanting to say for so long.

"Maria Ross killed Hughes. Isn't that why you burned her to death? What? You mean to tell me you scorched an innocent girl into a pile of ashes? Nicely done, you monster! Wow, it must of been fun telling her family! Did you cry when you told them? Or did you sit back and endure their outrage?" Envy said with a grin.

"Quit running your mouth, you idiot! I'm sick of you homunculi giving me the runaround when I ask you this question. Tell me the truth or I'll burn it out of you! You worthless scum! Tell me who's responsible for his murder."

"Do you realy want to know that bad? When the pi- I mean Edward is still out there somewhere, probably being tortured by my so called 'mother' Dante." Envy spat I just looked at him ready to set him ablaze any second. "Alright, fine but his is only gonna take us off track." He sighed, but then grinned "Although I can't say I'm not thrilled to finally tell you." He said with his evil smirk "Congratulations, Colonel Mustang, looks like you've finally hunted down your culprit."

My eyes widened "You're saying you killed Hughes? I doubt a moron like you could pull that off." I retorted.

Hah! Moron? Tell me who the real moron is here, because I don't think it's me! I prefer to use that term for someone who falls for a cheap trick like this!" He said Turning into Gracia. "Ha ha! You should see your face! Oh, you're not gonna believe this, but that was the same look on Hughes' face when I shot him! The utter shock, the dumb confusion! You could see every emotion he felt as his own wife shot him! It, was, GRE-"

"That's enough!" I spat, cutting him off "You were STUPID enough to confess, and even MORE stupid to BOAST! Everything you've said is fuel on your funeral pyre! So then, I think I'll begin... BY BURNING OUT YOUR TONGUE!"

"Realy, Can we at least find Ed before we do this?" He said annoyed dodging my flames.

"Keep your eyes on ME, Envy! Our conversation is the only one that should concern you! It's Kind of interesting how quickly the tongue can be rendered to a bubbling grease. It's surprising how easy it burns, isn't it?" I said furiously, snapping my finger repeatedly in his direction.

"MUSTANG!" He yelled, surprising me "I get that your mad, but if you want to find Ed you need my help!" He said, clearly fed up with my attacks.

I sighed lowering my hand and looked up at him with rage filled eyes "Fine." I huffed "But don't think this is over, because it isn't. Now, where is Edward"

Envy looked guilty and hurt by my words but nodded I couldn't help but feel bad for a second. He looked up at me and began to explain the attacks in the forest and how he believes that Dante has taken Edward to one of her dungeons "For all I know he might not even be in Imestris anymore." He said looking down,

"I see." I said, still processing everything that just happened "We begin searching for him in the morning. I'll go find Al and Winry."

"Winry? You mean the pipsqueak's girly friend? I get why you would need to tell the tin-can but why blondie." He said. Jealousy filling his eyes

"Don't tell me you're jealous of Winry." I said teasingly "Envy?"

"Of course not!" He said getting flustered "Why would I be Jealous of her, I just want to find Ed so I can then finally kill him!"

"If you say so."

"HEY! WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!"

"Nothing, you should probably get some rest, or whatever yo homunculi do, I have a feeling we have a pretty long journey ahead of us" I said, trying to put my anger aside...for now. But that homunculous had better watch out.
