-Ed's POV-
I woke up brushing the golden locks out of my face, I looked around wondering where we were. I then remembered we were staying the night in an abandoned house in the desert, I followed Al out the old wooden door that is barely holding onto the hinges.
"How much longer 'till Xerxes Major", I whined.
"Not too much longer Edward", replied Major Armstrong.
Mustang had ordered Major Armstrong to drag me out to the desert, I wonder what he's planing and if it has anything to do with why that bastard murdered Second Lieutenant Maria Ross.
"Ed, are you okay? You haven't seemed yourself lately." said Armstrong
" Yeah, Yeah Major I'm fine just tired." I replied
"Okay well 'cmon we're almost there, look you can see the ruins from here." the Major happily replied.
-Three Hours Later-
We slow down as we ride up to the Ruins of Xerxes , It certainly is shocking that a kingdom as big and strong as Xerxes can fall in a single night.
"Broth-" Al is cut off by the sound of my groaning as Major drags me across the sand by the back of my jacket to the Ruins. When we arrive I immediately jump in the water to cool off
"Come along now Edward, I believe we have a lot of explaining to do" muttered Armstrong
"We?" I ask skeptically
"Hello Edward" I stop dead in my tracks, I can't believe what I'm seeing. She's alive? S-She can't be I-I saw the explosion and her charred body "R-Ross?" I manage to stutter. "What the hell is going on here Major!"
-Flashback-
"Second Lieutenant Maria Ross?"
"Ua... Y-Yes"
"From this point on you are dead, Havock will explain everything"
-Flashback End-
-Ed's POV-
"Mustang... you sneaky bastard." I mutter to myself "I can't believe you've been alive all this time, what will you do now?" I ask
"Ah, well I guess i'll be living in Xing for a while until Mustang can convince everyone that I'm innocent." Ross replies. after a while more of everyone talking, we part ways. Ross is going to Xing, Major and the rest of the military are going back to central, and Al and I will stay here in search of a Philosopher's Stone.
