Teresa

I carefully steadied my own hair that was now pinned up in curlers whilst finishing Eva's hairdo, admiring the long and dramatic curls that I had pinned up and into a low bun, sticking the crystals in where they deemed fit. The full canister of hairspray began to set her head, keeping all the hair and clip ons in place, holding my breath to avoid inhaling any of the contaminants.

I could hear Serena rummaging around my bathroom for the lipstick that she had left when she dropped all her things off the night before. She urgently returned with an armful of cosmetics, laying them out next to the already growing pile, getting to work on Eva's poised expression.

I watched in astonishment as she made her face glow with beauty without making her extravagant. The bang on the door allowed me to nod at the blonde and step away, my stomach grinning as I pulled the door open to reveal Evan, a wide smile now plastered on his face as I stepped out and into the Miami sun.

"Wow! You're absolutely stunning!" He giggled, carefully maneuvering my curlers in order to kiss me. My lips curled against his and carefully pulled away when I heard rustling from the inside.

"I still have to get myself ready and it's bad luck to see the bridesmaid before the wedding." I joked, making him grin and shrug in my direction, trying to lean in so the other two women could see his goofy smile.

"Stop! Now thank you for the morning kisses, but I have a bride who needs my help." I giggled, waving him away before returning back inside.

...

I anxiously paced the steps of the church, running my hands over my blush chiffon dress, my bare shoulders pricked with goosebumps from the draft inside. "Hey, sorry I'm late. Traffic was crazy and I didn't want to be the first one here, since I'm your secret plus one." Evan whispered from behind, pressing a kiss against my curled locks.

"Thank god you're here, I didn't want to be the only bridesmaid without a date." I winked, making him chuckle and pull me close. "There's only one other bridesmaid." He remarked, making me roll my eyes and push him away, motioning towards his seat, watching as he wandered down the side aisle and side into the pew.

"There you are!" I heard Serena call, causing me to spin around and rush towards the awaiting wedding party. Serena nervously lined me up in front of Eva who was clad in a full white gown, jeweled lace sleeves falling down her arms and bodice, fading out into her full satin skirt, a long veil clipped to her bun, trailing behind her.

The music started and I watched the blonde cling to one of Chris' groomsmen and enter the church, the doors closing behind her. I turned quickly and grasped my friend's trembling hands, tears glossing over her brown eyes, making me choke up as well.

"You're going to be fine, your Papi is watching you, and he's with you right now." I reminded, hugging her tightly until I felt my partner tug on my arm to lead me through the open doors and down the long aisle, the pews surrounding us filled to the brim with people.

I took my spot at the front and felt excitement bubble in my stomach as the back doors swung open dramatically. Dread slowly began to form a pit in my stomach, reminding me that Eva didn't have her father to give her away.

I watched as she began to emerge without a partner, fear and anxiety now filling her expression as she looked at the large crowd. I anxiously began to chew on my lip, sucking in a deep breath before rushing up the side aisle, joining her in the back before eagerly linking my arm into hers. A smile spread across her face as she looked at me, squeezing my arm before Proctor and Serena joined us. The once lonely bride now sporting an entire entourage to give her away.
