Kihyun blinked as if trying to get dust out of his eyes. He was sure he wasn't seeing right. When the blinking didn't work and the beam of light kept shining on the metal ground, he gasped and grasped Changkyun's shirt. This prison with tall fences, guards on every corner and cameras on every wall had a huge yet unidentifiable flaw. Anyone slim could easily crawl out, maybe even big guys like Hoseok and Hyunwoo.
''You go first,'' Changkyun ruffled Kihyun's hair, smiling at the man's excitement. ''You look so eager.''
Kihyun beamed at him. ''How could I not be?'' He got down on his knees and crawled out of the hole towards the grass. ''I seriously wonder why literally nobody's protecting this place. Maybe it's a trap or something.''
''They aren't protecting it because they think we can't get out,'' Changkyun smirked as he also got down on hs knees. ''Most of the prisoners are creeped out by this place anyways, so.''
Once Kihyun had finished his little trip, he finally looked up.
The sun was shining and it hurt Kihyun's eyes. But he could bear the pain any day if it meant he could look up at the sky with no fences around him. He was absolutely thrilled.
The island was completely void of any trees so it was a completely clear area filled with just grass. Kihyun breathed in the fresh air as he watched the waves crash against the small coast, splashing onto the rocks after. As free as he felt, he knew he couldn't get anywhere. He still wasn't free. No matter where he looked, all he could see was the calm, endless ocean. Even if they got any ideas about how to escape, they wouldn't be able to execute it. The cliff opened to an abyss. The ocean would swallow them as a whole if they jumped down. Even if they didn't fall into the dark waves, the rocks that filled up the small coast would be enough to lead them to the end.
Nonetheless, Kihyun still felt refreshed. He didn't want to think about anything except for the feeling of freedom. Changkyun held his hand tightly as they walked to the very edge of the cliff. Kihyun's heart skipped a beat as he slipped very slightly, a few pebblestones falling off. He watched as they dissapeared into the ocean.
''So,'' Changkyun smiled at him. ''Wanna jump?''
Kihyun knew they could. It'd end everything and it'd be just so easy. Death was closer than anything else at that moment.
''...no,'' Kihyun concluded at last. ''It's too early. We've been here for only two months or so.''
Changkyun hummed as he sat down, his legs hanging. Kihyun sat down next to him. They swung their legs like little kids, watching their feet dangle in nothing. Changkyun chuckled.
''It looks so funny,'' he said. ''I wish I could save this moment.''
Kihyun rolled his eyes. ''Seriously? We could die here. It'd be so lame if this was the last thing you saved. What'd your friends think?''
''They wouldn't think anything,'' Changkyun smiled at him, a glint in his eyes. ''They're dead.''
Kihyun stared at him. They didn't break eye contact until Changkyun pulled him up.
''I wanna show you something.''
The sound of a gunshot rung in their ears. Kihyun flinched and slipped, heart beating as he felt himself start falling down the cliff. He screamed as he tried to hold onto something desperately, feeling the edge of a rock cut his leg. The pain got him back to his senses and finally felt two hands holding him from his ankles. He gasped for air as he got pulled up and two arms pulled him towards a broad chest. They took a few moments calming down.
Changkyun laughed in amazement.
''What're you laughing?! I almost died, you asshole!''
''It was incredible!'' Changkyun said, his eyes wide. ''It was like an action scene in some Oscar movie!''
''Ugh, seriously,'' Kihyun tried to sound annoyed but he couldn't help the fond smile on his lips. ''By the way, what the fuck was that?''
''The guards shot a little birdie for fun,'' Changkyun said, pointing at the dead seagull on the ground. Kihyun got up with much difficulty, almost stumbling again. Changkun snorted at hs efforts. They walked to the bird, staring at it's dead body and the blood around it. Kihyun's eyes followed the trail of blood and landed on something else.
''What the fuck?!'' he screeched as he ran back, closing his eyes with his hands. He sobbed. ''What the fuck is that?!''
Changkyun smiled at him.
''I told you that the rumors were false already, didn't I?'' he said. ''You're overreacting.''
Kihyun kept sobbing. Tears blurred his sight. He walked closer to the dead body. The only thing that was left of the corpse was moldy grey bones and rotten flesh. The smell was overwhelming. Changkyun seemed unaffected by it.
''It's not that bad,'' he said, holding Kihyun's hand. ''It's old. It'll wither after a few months or a year.''
''I don't know how you react so normally to this,'' Kihyun pinched his nose in disgust and led Changkyun away from the corpse. He let go of the man's hand, feeling like vomiting. ''It's so disgusting...''
''Let's go before you vomit,'' Changkyun said, pulling Kihyun's hand and walking to the hole in the wall. Kihyun didn't try to reason with him. He looked at the body and then the ocean for one last time and crawled through the hole.

Honestly... ew.
I hope you liked this. I wrote it while listening to The Unit girl's cover of Crazy. I keep replaying Hyosun's C.R.A.Z.Y part and Feeldog's reaction, it kills me! Also, Saebyeol deserved better.
I'm going to end this part before I get too excited. Thank you for reading!
