ch. 12

It had been thirteen days of no action whatsoever. Changkyun and Kihyun were both a little more silent than normal- neither of them wanted to gather any attention until what they wanted finally happened. But although almost no one seemed to notice, their friends had clearly sensed that they had done something very wrong- especially Hyunwoo.

Changkyun and Kihyun definitely didn't enjoy the looks he sent them as they ate. He looked alarmingly wary of them. As much as they treasured their older friend, they knew that if Hyunwoo knew anything of their plans, he'd immediately step in to stop them, not one to like anything vile.

At the end of the thirteen day wait, three tall guards pushed the cafeteria's door open, causing it to slam against the wall.

''Ong Seungwoo!'' the shortest one barked ferociously. ''Get your ass up right now!''

The poor guy shot up immediately, scared of what was going to happen to him. ''Yes?''

''Come here right now.''

''I'd rather not,'' Seungwoo said, voice quivering. That was apparently the worst answer to give, judging from the look on the guard's face. He took firm steps towards the man's table, the other guards right behind. His hand went up to Seungwoo's collar but the taller man resisted and took three steps back, almost stumbling down to the ground. This move proved to be useless as the two taller guards took hold of his wrists and cuffed them together.

''W-what are you doing this for?!'' Seungwoo shouted, sweating. Kihyun was suddenly reminded of his screams as they had ran away from the murder scene. ''I wasn't the one that killed him!'' the man shouted, desperately pointing at them. His finger was shaking. ''They did it!''

''What nonsense are you spouting out?'' the short guard shouted back at him, dragging him out of the place. Seungwoo's eyes were incredibly wide as he tried to fight against their hold, trembling and crying, snot and tears running down his face. ''They're murderers! I didn't do anything!'' he screamed as he was dragged out.

It was truly a sight to see.

Two days after this happened, they got the news they were waiting for.

Kang Daniel was found dead and Ong Seungwoo, the murderer, had been executed.

As soon as the news reached their ears, they were back to being normal again. At least they thought they were being normal- their friends definitely didn't think they were.

''So,'' Minhyuk smiled at them in his usual fashion, ''What the fuck did you guys do? We're not stupid, you know.''

''Totally. You couldn't have been more obvious,'' Hyungwon stated. ''Spill it.''

Kihyun and Changkyun shared a quick glance, immediately getting into play. Kihyun raised an eyebrow at them. ''What do you mean?''

''Don't act like you don't know,'' Jooheon huffed. ''Seungwoo was executed because he was the last person who was seen with him. But we know better. You guys tricked him into doing something, didn't you.''

Changkyun sighed. ''Look, as far as evil things go, we wouldn't do such a thing. I mean, we would, but why would we trick Ong Seungwoo of all people? He was useless while he was living and he's still useless now that he's dead.''

''Bitch please,'' Minhyuk rolled his eyes. ''You know that's not right. You can't trick us like you tricked him.''

''Honestly, we did nothing,'' Kihyun said, shrugging. What he said seemed to work almost immediately. He had always liked how easily he could persuade people. ''I don't have a single idea about what you're saying. We didn't do anything.''

''Then why did you get him and Daniel out of the cafeteria? It can't be a coincidence,'' Hyunwoo said. He looked like he wanted to believe them, but it was obvious he just couldn't.

''Do you really want me to say this?'' Changkyun said, appearing to be a little bit worried for a second. He shook it off quickly. ''I told Kang Daniel to not attempt to do anything weird. I wanted to protect Minhyuk and I also wanted to threathen Daniel, so I took Seungwoo with me and told him that if anything happened to Minhyuk I'd do something he wouldn't like.''

Minhyuk gasped dramatically. ''Oh, my knight in shining armor with a white horse!''

Changkyun snorted. ''Where's the horse, may I ask?''

Mnhyuk schrunched his nose up and pointed at Kihyun. Everyone broke out laughing. Except for Hyunwoo and Hyungwon, that is.

As they laughed and chattered, Kihyun's eyes never left those two. Their plans of escape were going to be hard to pull off and it'd take an incredible amount of effort and persuading. Kihyun was overflowing with ideas after killing two birds with one stone and he'd make sure to get hem in action but just like he had expected, he'd have to take some obstacles out of the way first. Ong Seungwoo and Kang Daniel had been the first two obstacles he had wiped out and it was strangely... easy. With Kihyun's genius ideas, social skills, sneaky actions and Changkyun's ability to make people do things and trick them, it seemed like they could do anything they wanted. 

Hyungwon, who seemed wary of them, wasn't much of a problem for them. Even if he knew about their plans, he probably wouldn't care much. All Kihyun and Changkyun had to do was to be careful about not hurting Hoseok -who was Hyungwon's only weakness- in any way or they'd be sure to experience Hyungwon's wrath first hand.

But Hyunwoo was definitely a problem. So much that Kihyun regretted becoming friends with him. He was always incredibly rightful and always wanted to be a good person. Kihyun knew it was probably because he didn't want to do anything bad after whatever he did to get in prison but he also didn't really care. All he wanted to do was just escape and Hyunwoo was a tall obstacle. As much as he liked him, he knew if they attempted to escape or do anything that was listed as evil in Hyunwoo's book, they'd be stopped and reported immediately. The only reason they weren't being reported right now was because he wasn't sure about whether they had done something or not. Kihyun wanted it to be kept that way until his time came eventually.

''As soon as possible,'' Kihyun whispered to Changkyun discreetly as the other were distracted.

Changkyun smiled at him sweetly.

Oh my god I'm so horrible at posting chapters without having like ten years of wait.

I'm not sure about you guys but I really like where this story is going right now, lol. Also, I'd like to know that I have nothing against Wanna One. I stan them but I just really needed a character who had a good body and my top two picks were gone (*cough* shownu and wonho *cough*). Also, I could absolutely not leave out Seungwoo even if it meant killing him. Sorry about that, Wannables. (also I've been watching some buskings by d.o.b and red crew lately and im addicted. just putting it out there)
