They rushed Ratchet into the Rangers' medical room, laying him on the bed and hooked up equipment to the groaning lombax. Kaden laid a gentle hand on the side of his son's face and saw a flash of insight of what might be what Ratchet is fighting. He blinked and the vision, or maybe just an image, faded, but never left his mind. He couldn't quite describe it, but as far as he could tell, that... that thing was electrical, massive and definitely evil. Focus, Kaden! He quickly shook himself out of it to try helping the current situation, hoping the others didn't notice.
To signal the Thing taking over a second time, Ratchet began to growl again, confusing The Rangers as well. He was close to ripping the equipment off, but was stopped by Alister holding him down. Re-slitted eyes flashed open, giving the older lombax a cold glare before breaking loose, successfully ripping off the equipment, and dashed out of the room, leaving his mark on the doorframe.

"Set everything to stun, I don't want to kill Ratchet."
Kaden looks to his friend, reminding Alister to double check his pretorian omniwrench. "Where do we start?," the father is particularly anxious to return Ratchet alive, to not lose the only other member of his family, not since his wife died...
A small crack! sounded behind them and they turn to see Clank had partially opened his eyes. "C...ont...act...," he tried to muster.
"Who?," Cora asks.
"Tal...wyn," he finally managed.
Max nodded. "I'll stay behind and talk to my daughter while Elaris fixes Clank." The others nodded and left the room to search the ship.
They must have been looking for hours with no trace of Ratchet before the lights began to flicker.
"The only place that can control that is the bridge," Cora realizes and they follow her there. The flickering lights soon gave out, leaving the group, and an unusually impatient Kaden, in total darkness. "Ratchet?" Cora called out. "Where are you?"
They quickly activate their helmet lights as a voice answers, "I... don't know." It was Ratchet, with a hint of a growl to his voice.
"Can you describe your surroundings?" asked Kaden, hoping he could see their lights.
"Uhh, pretty much just pitch black. Wait, there's some light."
"Is it pointed to you?"
"A bit to my left... now it's pointed my way." The moment he said that, the group quickly made their way forward. A few seconds later, Ratchet asks," It that you?" And sounded rather relieved when it was. The search party soon found out why when the immobilized lombax came into view. Ratchet's right arm was tangled in a mass of wires from the ships power box and hung a few inches in the air. He gave the tiniest, innocent smile, reminding Kaden of every time his wife would do the same. "Hey..."
