Long Nights and Crazy Days

I sighed. Another night of training, though I had nothing better to do. Kunai and shuriken littered the ground around me, though most had been embedded in the trees that I had managed to destroy with a few strong ass punches soon after.

The sun was going to rise soon, I noticed as I gazed upon the sea behind me. 'Maybe I should head in and get cleaned up before everyone else is awake, ne?'

"You probably should, if you're not there they might freak out or somethin'." Inners voice rang through my head and I nodded.

Quickly, I picked up all of the stray weapons and rushed back to the Bridge Builders house. Tsunami was the only one awake, and I snuck past her with ease. After using my rad ninja skills to get past her, I used them to get some clothes from my bag and creep my way to the bathroom. Now I know why Spider-Man always crawled around on the damn ceilings all the time-that shit was fucking amazing.

I was finally clean. It's been so long since I've been clean-

"Oh put a sock in it you drama queen, it's only been like, three days."

I pretend I didn't hear her. I was too overwhelmed with my cleanliness. It is a very important thing to be, you know.

I was met with makeshift cricket noises created by That Bitch Inside My Mind.

Today was a slow day. Well, it seems to be one so far.

"It's only 8 am."

'Feels like it should be noon by now.'

"Well maybe if you got some fucking sleep you wouldn't feel like it's been three years since you got back."

I smiled, albeit a tiny one. Not some weird creepy grin that evil villains do. I ain't about that shit. Yet. 'Fair point.'

It's so quiet-no, scratch that. Naruto woke up. I turn towards the oddly perky blonde boy running towards me. I stop him right before he tackles me and start to inspect him. "Wha-hey! Why're you lookin at me all weird this early in the morning?" He sounded offended.

"You're oddly..awake..today. Why?" I said with suspicion lacing my words.

He shrugged and scratched his neck. "I dunno, just am I guess."

I nodded. Acceptable. Though I still had my eyes on him. Kid could be a spy or something. He's probably not, but he could be. You never know.

Next, out came Sasuke, as gloomy as ever. His aura was so dark today that it physically pushed me out of his way. Creepy.

And, finally, our beloved emotionally damaged old man, Kakashi himself! They came out like a train of tired puppies. Well, save Naruto. "Gooooood morning my beloved Sensei. What have you got planned for us today?" I said sweetly.

Said Sensei gave me an uneasy glance before turning to the rest of the room. "Well, I'm glad you asked. Today we are all going to the bridge together! You completed your training needed for this mission, so I figured it'd be good to spend some time together as a team."

At first I was agreeing and ready to go with, but then I realized something. Something big. "Actually, Sensei, I have to do something so if you guys want you can just go ahead and I'll catch up in a little bit, okay? I swear it's important."

He simply sighed, knowing I wouldn't listen regardless. "Fine. The rest of us will leave after breakfast."

Breakfast went by quickly, needless to say.  Weird how time seems to creep by only when you're alone, huh? Anyways, it was in no time at all that I was left alone with Tsunami and the boy. It was also in no time that those two idiots showed up to gather their 'hostages'.

They didn't seem to understand what the word stealth meant, if we're being honest here. They basically just came barging in, their voices cocky and loud. I could see the shock on Tsunamis face when they did, but there was something I didn't think of happening, until it did. They had brought another man this time, and thanks to that unexpected change, I had been captured. Then it all seemed to click.

Tsunami wasn't the target this time, I was.

Hello!!!! I am so sorry for the wait, but if I'm being honest, I had actually deleted the app do a time 😅 but I'm back now, and I wanted to give y'all something before we got to the big ol suspenseful shit. Hope it's at least a decent chapter!
