"Ally, wake up." Ally's mum shook her awakening her from her peaceful sleep and shaking her into the harsh reality that it was Monday, only 7 more days until she was out the way of everyone for 6 whole weeks.
"Okay I'm up" she groaned rolling out of bed and throwing on her tight skinny jeans and pink hoodie, there was no point getting dressed up, it's not like anyone took notice of her. as much as she hated not being liked like everyone else seemed to be, she liked not being the centre of attention and admittedly she liked being on her own.
"Only 7 more days" she sighed, repeating the phrase that would keep her going throughout the day.
She brushed her thick brown hair and stuck it up in a messy bun, she applied light makeup but a lot of mascara, it made her ocean blue eyes stand out against her pale skin.
After brushing her teeth, she grabbed her lunch money and bag of the table.
"Goodbye love" her mum said goodbye to her as she pulled her white converse on.
"Bye" she smiled slightly and stuck her earphones into her ears, music was her escape, somewhere that she could imagine being everything she wasn't.
She stuck on a band called 'The Fray' and left the house, beginning the short walk to school.
She walked through the deserted streets, everyone was likely to be still in bed it was only 7:30am. She liked to be out of the way when the bell went, afraid people would look and stare at her making her feel even more insecure about herself.
Her mum always encouraged her to socialise but how could she? she hadn't been noticed since the first day she moved to that god damn school, it wasn't going to just start now.
She pulled her bag up further on her shoulder as she walked in the school gates, her eyes darting around to check nobody was around but the kids like her, the 'unpopulars'
She didn't mind having that name, if it meant no hassle and no harm then it was fine by her, happy to be a nobody she opened the history classroom door and took her seat, it was 1 hour until class started. That meant 1 hour to listen to music and revise, for her that was bliss, but this morning was different.
Just as she pulled her book out of her bag, he walked in.
By him she meant Ashton Irwin.
The boy she'd had a crush on since she first saw him, of course he ignored her presence and sat down right at the back of the classroom.
She sighed and continued to read the notes she had yesterday made in class. Just as she was getting into what she was reading something sharp hit her back but she ignored it, there was only one other person in this class and she did not want to make contact with him whatever the cost. however he just seemed to catch her on a bad day and the fifth time the pencil hit her on the back of the head, she snapped.
"Will you fucking stop!" she shouted, her shocked expression matching Ashton's at her sudden outburst.
"I'm sorry" she muttered and Ashton smiled, his dimples showing.
"Don't apologise, I was just going to ask why your here so early?"
"It doesn't matter" she answered quietly and turned around, attempting to re-read her work.
"If your wondering my mum dropped me early, she had work" his Australian accent sending her mind into overdrive.
"I wasn't wondering" she rolled her eyes and heard a chair move behind her, she looked behind to see Ashton moving to the desk next to her.Fucking fantastic.
"Could you help me?" He asked and she gulped, she didn't want to talk to him at all, no matter have a whole convosation with him.
"Y-yeah"
"Lighten up a little, it's only me" he smirked
"What did you say your name was again?" she asked but of course she knew his name, she knew just about everything else about him. he could never know that though.
"Ashton, Ashton Irwin" he looked a little thrown off but quickly recovered.
"And your Ally Moore, am I right?" he laughed and her heart began to beat out of her chest, someone actually knew her name. he actually knew her.
"I looked on your book" he nudged her and her heart sank back down to the pit of her stomach. Of course he didn't know her she was, in fact, Ally Moore.
"What'cha listening to" Ashton took one of her earphones and began to listen to the slightly depressing song
"Oh the fray, isn't it?"
"Yeah" she smiled.
"I like this song" he began to hum along to her favourite song, making her look away in embarrassment, he was so good she just didn't have the guts to say anything. The slightest mistake could send her world crumbling down, she couldn't deal with it if it became worse.
"Well, I'll see you around, Ally" Ashton smiled and grabbed his book, walking over to the group of 'popular' boys who had just walked in.
She smiled to herself and put her earphone back in.
Maybe today wasn't going to be so bad.
