Ashton's pov-

I walked into my first lesson, health and social. I took my seat next to the usual, popular group, my eyes instantly shot over to where ally was sitting. she was laughing with Michael, another nobody, I tried my best not to stare but it was hard. what did he had that I didn't? why couldn't I make ally laugh like that.

"S-stop, I can't breathe" she lent over, grasping her stomach.

"I'm Ashton and I'm a prick" Michael made an impression of me, unaware of my presence.

"I'm Michael and nobody likes me" I smirked as ally looked up, a horrified expression on her face.

"Oh Ashton..." ally frowned as I grabbed Michael flinging him off his chair.

"Next time you do an impression of me, you'll be dead got it" I growled and he nodded. Satisfied with the reaction I returned to my seat.

"Damn Michael, are you okay. I'm so sorry" ally gave him a hand up and he shrugged

"I'm good, everything's good" he smiled at her and she lent into him, whispering something in his ear.

He looked back at me and frowned before the teacher walked in, the room became silent.

---

"Ally!" I called after her as she left the classroom, Michael by her side.

"Yeah" she turned around, she was happy and that made me angry because she was with him.

"Can we speak.... alone" I empathised and Michael turned to ally.

"I'll see you in next class, love" he smiled and left.

"Are you two?...."

"does it matter"

"Erm well yeah because I was going to ask you if you want to come out with tonight" I offered, confident she'd say yes.

"No" she frowned and turned to leave but I grabbed her arm before she could start walking.

I wasn't used to rejection so this was new to me.

"Why not?"

"Because... in total honesty, your a prick" she laughed and turned on her heel, walking off, leaving me surprised and wanting her more then ever.

Ally's pov-

I sat down in my seat for history, another lesson with Ashton I thought and as on queue he walked through the door with the usual 'popular' people.

"Hey" he greeted me as he sat down next to me, taking out his books.

"Have you got a pen?" he asked searching his pockets, I quietly pulled out a pen, not bothering to speak to him.

"Thanks" he smiled as he took the pen. "Do you get this?" I asked pointing at the hard questions in front of me, I was usually good at maths but today I just couldn't put my head down and work.

"I thought you were suppose to be the clever one" he nudged me and I shook my head.

"Must of got me mistaken" I shrugged and chuckled quietly.

"Do you want to come to my party on Saturday?" he asked me and I looked up, surprised. I hadn't been invite to a party in god knows how long.

"This saturday?" I asked pretending to look like I was going through my plans when really I had a weekend full of films, Ice cream and loneliness.

"Yeah, are you busy?" Ashton asked looking hopeful as he looked at me. "No, I'll come" I agreed, not thinking it over. maybe it wouldn't be as bad as I thought.
