Chapter 2: bonded by the blood?

Pidge was calmly setting their berries down making sure to color code it cause what are they? Animals?, they picked up the greenest one and sniffed it, it seemed sweet enough, they put it back in their tiny satchel they got for safe keeping

They continued their little work, and would've if it weren't for the bat demon who wouldn't sit still

Blue gave out an upset huff beside them making them look up to stare at the beautiful bat demons face

"What is it blue?" They wondered seeing how the demons eyes were searching frantically for something

They thought for a bit before realizing that Lance has yet to come back, and so was Hunk who went to go find him, they looked up at the frantic bat before petting her head as much as they can to calm her

"It's okay I'll get your dumbass of a master back since Hunkys not back..."

They were about to follow after Lance's steps when they saw a huge shadow of a form, their whole body lit up in confused panic before they allowed their pointed ears to turn more bat like to try to listen to whatever was coming towards them

At further inspection they realized the figure was holding something, wait...is that Lance??

They ran towards the person with a confused and terrified expression, before they could reach out to touch him they flinched when they heard a low growling hiss coming from the person who was carrying their friend

Looking up they realized it was the person from the party, he had a worried expression on his face mixed with a sort of protective glare

Pidge gulped before they touched their chest

"I-I'm Pidge..." they muttered out quietly, as if scared to trigger anything in the male

He stayed quiet for a bit before looking down at Lance's fallen form

"Keith..." he muttered out

Pidge nodded as if expecting more and frowned when they didn't get it, they looked at Lance then back at Keith's face before gulping and speaking

"D-do you mind if I um.."

Keith looked down at them before back at Lance and gave an almost unsure nod of his head

Pidge hesitantly took Lances head in their hands, they could feel him breathing

'That's good..'

But looking at his side they could tell Keith attempted at covering some of his wounds, it's a good thing they had some wraps in their satchel

"If you don't mind, could you lay him there beside the big bat demon thing in the cave?"

Keith looked up and flinched when he saw the petrified look on the bats face, she was making different huffing noises as if panicked or scared

Keith obediently set Lance beside the big creature and sat down, not too far from Lance allowing Pidge to do their work

"Hey guys I couldn't find-"

Hunk stopped in his tracks as he came from across the bush, Hunks ears were pushed to his head in panic, as his tail stood on end

Hunk was in normal form, so you could see his eyebrows scrunch together in mild confusion

"Uhhh, P-Pidge who's this??"

Pidge sighed before looking up at Hunk

"This is Keith, the dude Lance was obviously flirting with during the Human party, and Keith this is Hunk, the adorable little puppy in Lance's hands earlier"
