Chapter 8: Pink and Orange

The team watched as the grass and undergrowth gave way to a huge stoned entrance, it was lined with different colored Pearls while at the very top was a white one, Lance turned his head to the side in confusion, weren't fairies tinier then this?? Why was the entrance so huge? Why was the way to put up the entrance so hard, he felt a feeling of dread wash over him, will there be more challenges inside?? what would happen if he can't protect Keith?

Lance felt Keith intertwine their fingers again making him look at his mates face and immediately felt all his worries go away at the fond look that his soul bond gave him

"Good job Lance" he smiled at him "you did it"

It was a simple praise but still a praise nonetheless, and it made Lance keen at Keith's attention, he smiled at him brightly too happy to change his features even when Pidge gagged

The movement stoped giving way to the grand entrance, Lance gave a hesitant step forward, his eyes clouded with gray in hesitance, he looked uneasy, Keith would be lying if he said he wasn't feeling the same, it was deathly quiet and no one wanted to make the first move

Until Pidge yawned and nonchalantly tried to enter through the entrance

"Come on guys the Pink won't save themselves!" They called out

Shiros eyes widened as he put his hand up and stopped them from progressing

"Don't he rash, we don't know what over there, I suggest letting me and Black go first just in case somethings wrong"

Pidge gave him a upset glare but backed up obediently, they allowed Shiro to give them a concerned and warm smile to reassure he trusts them before he started to cautiously walk forward

Keith was also concerned but he was more at ease with Lance by his side, Lance was watching worriedly as theirsaa team leader cautiously walked against the castle grounds

Suddenly the pavement gave way making the team look up in a flock of panic, Hunk was basically screaming, his ears bent back and his tail fluffing up twice his size, a low growl emitted from the undergrowth underneath the pavement, Hunk shivered as it gave way to an enormous mass of demonic werewolf, it was golden yellow, it's eyes a bright blue as he growled at the team

Hunk stood up seeing his friends cowering in fear the demons were growling at the werewolf demon, it's size greater then them and suddenly he was filled with new found courage, he stood in front of his friends he was obviously scared but shook his head knowing he had to do this

He growled at the demonic wolf who stared at him in confusion, the yellow wolf then growled back, it's hackles rising to make itself look bigger, hunk flinched but growled again, taking a step forward as the wolf stepped back, and finally it gave in to the kind boy it laid down on its back its belly showing in clear submission

Hunk blinked a few times until he gasped
"Y-yellow?" He muttered out

The wolf looked up and stared at Hunk, it looked confused until it's tail started to wag rapidly, it ran to Hunk and started barking like a puppy and licking Hunk against his face

Hunk laughed too as it showed its affection making the team slightly less scared but more curious, lance was the first to speak up

"Who's yellow?"

"You know that puppy that I had that ran away? I was so sad when she left but this has to be her!! She was golden like this! I can't believe she'd come back!!"

The team smiled awkwardly as Hunk cooed at his wolf happy to be reunited, shiro snapped his fingers getting the groups attention once more telling them it's time to go, he touched the side of the building making Black look up and huff off an air of indignation, Shiro gave her a reassuring look before he slightly pressed against the side forcing it to go back as if it were a button, Shiro jumped back as the area lit up
