Despite their relationship being the only topic of discussion, Katsuki and Izuku didn't talk at all the next two days. The both of them had gone mute.
It took Aizawa twice as long to get the attention of his class in the morning, and it surprised him to see that Katsuki didn't open his mouth once all day. There was also Izuku, who looked like the human incarnation on the word 'unpleasant'.
On Wednesday, Katsuki and Izuku started to speak again, but not to each other. If one was in the common room, the other would leave. Katsuki couldn't even bring himself to look at Izuku.
It was decided by the students of class 1-A that they would not address the issue between them. Kirishima hasn't told anyone about the authenticity of their relationship after seeing the pictures Ashido took.
As it so happens, from the angle the phone was held, the black brace supporting Izuku's arm was unrecognizable. That, and Ashido was so excited that she started to wave her phone around and the images were quite blurry too.
On Friday, Izuku hadn't cracked a smile yet and Katsuki hadn't cussed once. Aizawa and Toshinori tried to talk to the boys, separately and together, but it had no effect.
Despite many attempts from Iida, Uraraka and Todoroki, Izuku wouldn't talk. They wouldn't understand anyways. Izuku hadn't told them all of his past relationship with Katsuki, or the present.
Katsuki refused to even interact with anyone besides Kirishima, the one person he considered to be his friend. Kirishima was obviously forgiven by both of them for sharing the pictures from Mitsuki's Facebook. Mitsuki on the other hand was cussed out by her son several times.
Finally on Saturday, Izuku found himself cornered in his dorm room, with Todoroki demanding an explication for his behavior. He sighed and sprawled himself out on the floor, while motioning for Todoroki to take a seat.
"This is a long story," Izuku warned
"Then you better start talking now," Todoroki replied nonchalantly.
Izuku poured his heart out to Todoroki, from the day he met Katsuki at the park to the day he seemingly sabotaged him. Izuku left out the part about being quirkless, claiming that he was only a late bloomer. By the end of it, Izuku was choking on his own tears. He was a mess.
Todoroki sat on the ground beside his friend and pulled him up to give him a hug. He apologized profusely, feeling a great amount of guilt about his arm.
"Todoroki i-it isn't your fault," Izuku said with a weak smile. "Even if it meant breaking my bones, I'm glad that you've become the amazing person you are today."
Todoroki felt his heart clench. Even when he was the one in shambles, Izuku could offer support to anyone. They continued discussing the dilemma with Katsuki.
Meanwhile, Katsuki himself was thrown into Kirishima's dorm room and locked in alongside Kirishima. Kirishima pushed him into his desk chair. He returned Katsuki's impudent glare as red met red.
"Bro, tell me what happened," Kirishima demanded.
Katsuki only grunted and turned his head.
Kirishima apologized in his head before swinging a right hook towards Katsuki's face. There was the loud sound of Katsuki's teeth grinding together as Kirishima's fist connected with his friend's jaw.
"What the fuck is this, some new kind of shitty torture method?" Katsuki said while rubbing his jaw and grimacing.
"The hell happened with Midoriya? Do you really trust me that little?" Kirishima questioned.
"Nothing fucking happened with Deku," Katsuki spat.
"Bullshit. Bakugou I'll hit you again," Kirishima threatened.
"See if that gets me to talk," Katsuki snarled. He was tired of other people constantly trying to meddle in his business.
Kirishima sighed loudly as his first collided with Katsuki's face again.
