(≤Cassidy's POV≥) It was near the end of the day, Mason shied away from me for a while, but he was very interested at my backpack, which held my math book, spelling book, science book, and my jacket. I always wore my jacket but it was painfully hot today.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom real quick, mind standing out here and watching my stuff for me?" I said, looking up at Mason.

"Yeah.." he replied back, timid, as he has been.

"Thank you." I said back.

As I was finishing up, I heard some rummaging through bags, I assumed it was Mason checking to see if he had all his books. I quickly hurried to grab some paper towels and go check on Mason.

"You okay?" I said, watching Mason shuffle things around in his backpack and quickly zip it up.

"Oh!-Hi! Sorry, just making sure I had everything" Said Mason quietly. His face turned a bit red, I'm not entirely sure why. I didn't want to get on about how he looked nervous since, after all, he's been so very skittish, I should say.

As we walked out into the parking lot, we started to part ways. I looked back at Mason and saw a glimpse of a grey jacket-like thing in his bag. I quickly stopped to make sure I had my jacket, and that he wasn't playing tricks on me.

There was no jacket.

"Mason?" I yelled. He looked back, and saw me kneeling over my backpack. He didn't accept his fate, he ran as fast as he could away from me, with my favorite grey jacket my dad bought me.

"Mason! Mason! You get back here! you..-" I yelled angrily as I zipped up my bag and went after him.

I came to a stop. I realized I was in the middle of nowhere, woods all around me.

"Mason! Mason!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. Surely I wasn't going to find my way home from here.

I kneeled down and lost hope. I didn't have anything to contact anyone with, no phone, no tablet, nothing. I didn't want to sit here forever, and be missing for weeks. The jacket was the least of my problems.
