(≤Cassidy's POV≥) When we got to school, Charlie helped me over to my locker and started getting my stuff for first period.

During class I usually doodle on my notes. Mrs. K never says anything about it and just keeps teaching. This particular day she decided to look over at me, doodling and writing on my notes. She walked over and picked up my notes.

"You seem to be taking great notes." She said. "How about I read them to the class."

Mrs. K did literally anything to embarrass kids; so when she picked up my paper, I knew I was in for a rollercoaster of anxiety.

She started to read. "First period is boring. I'm tired. I'm bored-" She cut herself off.

Everyone looked at each other, then over to me. They expected I would give some great description of what was going through her head, or something. Everyone looked over at Mrs. K who was now drawing my doodles. She drew out a big heart and put 'Charlie' in the middle. Mason sits behind me and I could feel him staring at me. In fact, I could feel everyone staring at me. Mrs K. walked over and handed me my paper.

"May I be excused?" I asked.

"Yes." Mrs K. replied.

I quickly walked out the door and ran for a hiding spot. I hid there for a while, until I heard the halls filling up again.

I walked out into the hall, looking for Charlie's locker.

"Charlie!" I said, pushing my way through the crowd.

"Hey!" He replied.

"I need to tell you something at lunch, Okay?" I said loudly.

He nodded and continued getting his stuff.

"Dang it, I left my books back in first period!" I thought to myself as I started to run back to the classroom. When I got there everyone was crowding around my paper and giggling. I backed out and ran into Mason, who was leaving his locker. Mason pushed me back into the classroom, grabbing my arm so I couldn't run. He got attention of everyone by pointing at me. He tightened the grip on my arm. I could hear mumbling among the group, until they started to walk over. Mason dragged me out in the hall and the group followed.

"Payback" whispered Mason in my ear as he let go and started to walk off.

"For what?" I exclaimed in confusion.

The crowd cornered me and and started shoving my paper in my face. They yelled, kicked, and laughed at me.

It was the end of 5th period. I ran out the door and shoved all my books in my locker. I grabbed my lunch and ran down the crowded hallway towards the back of the school. As I was coming around a corner I bumped into Charlie, and his books dropped on the ground.

"I-I'm so sorry!" I said, trying to get around him.

"Whats wrong? you look so nervous!" pointed out Charlie, as he was picking up his books "Hold on. Let me put my books away, then we can go eat our lunch."

Charlie walked off, I took this as my chance to continue running.

I was about to go out the back door when I felt a hand grab onto my arm.

"Wait!" said Charlie.

I yanked my arm away and continued to walk. I sat on the grass under a tree.

"Whats wrong?" Questioned Charlie, sitting down beside me.

I couldn't tell him. I couldn't say 'Well I was doodling on my paper about you, then Mrs. K read it in front of everyone.'. I would never want to go through that embarrassment.

I sat for a while, until tears slowly ran down my face. Charlie pulled me closer to him. I could feel his hands drag up my back and into my hair. I wrapped my arms around him and he smiled. Charlie smashed his lips against mine. It was so sudden I fell back a bit, but caught myself with my arms. His hands dragged down my torso and up my shirt. I jerked back and caught my breath. Charlie scooted back and looked down, embarrassed.

Seeing Charlie's embarrassment, I playfully pushed over Charlie and slid my hands under his shirt and up the sides of his torso. Charlie laughed. "That tickles!" he exclaimed, starting to blush.
