(A/N: Sorry for taking so long to update! This is the next chapter! Enjoy. Also, I am planning to name my chapters now. Comment with your thoughts. Also, just realized you can't dedicate to more than one person. Also dedicated to Lola71110)
Aelin
I laughed with a laugh that Aedion told me could scare anyone away. Still in the "chains" (of darkness *snort), I got mad, and I gave up...
I shifted, I created a giant, rotating shield of fire around me and, making sure I wasn't hurting anyone, I extinguished the shocked fae girl's flames that were still fizzling on her hands, and I backed into my new portal leaving with a burst of flames spelling out Aelin Ashryver Whitethorn Galathynius of the wildfire, Queen of Terrasen, just in case... Hmmm. Whitethorn, it might add more to my already very long name, but I am happy to share it with my mate. Then, I stepped through the portal into another dimension. At first, I saw nothing, then I saw Rowan. I was a bit confused, but reached out to my mate, all the same, as I grasped for him, as I reached him, he turned into a hawk and flew away, reminding me of another person who left me, many years ago, Nehemia. Suddenly, Nehemia appears in front of me and comes in to give me a hug, then explodes into a colorful dust. Well, that was weird, at least... I saw Aedion and Lysandra kissing in a corner... oh Gods no! EEWWWW!!!! I then knew I was in some sort of realm that takes your thoughts to create your environment. I tried to imagine in my mind a way for Terrasen to get help and I saw a glowing light. It was green and was quickly coming towards me. I soon realized that there was a voice trying to tell me something. Suddenly, a very raspy voice could be heard all around me.
There will come a day when demigod meets demi-fae.
Water shall meet fire when the situation is dire.
A sacrifice must be made to complete the trade.
The flames will be gone, but they were just a pawn,
They will expand until she becomes the strongest in the land.
Unlock more to win the war,
When wisdom meets wind, an alliance will form.
Just beware the lies for in comes a storm.
The prophecy was spoken at me from all directions. I pondered it for a moment. My thoughts were flowing past me like how I imagined the character Albert Einstein from my book would calculate equations in his head. Okay, obviously this prophecy can't be the whole thing, right? I mean, maybe not. It might just be another confusing prophecy. Anyway, demi-fae is me, but what about demigod? I only know a few demigods, and I don't even know them, since they died a long time ago. Next, I; fire, will meet water;?, ugh. I don't, know. Next! A sacrifice?! Nononono, not again! Next! Flames gone? My BABIES?! No. Next! She? Is that me? Or... maybe it is someone else? Unlock more what? I want to know what. Next! When wisdom meets wind? Wind... hmmmm... Rowan? Wisdom! We are coming for you! Just beware the lies, for in comes a storm. Oooh! Sounds scary! I'm in. In my head, I picture a large stone wall, and it appears before me. I summon a piece of paper stating the prophecy, and all my thoughts on it... in a much more queenly, and organized form... sorry...Anyway, I cut my palm open again and drew the marks that lead to Terrasen. I dropped the piece of paper through the portal, mailman style, and closed the portal, ready to move to another dimension.
Rowan
The Havillards had just arrived, and everyone in the castle was looking out for the ice breathing witchlings, Arkayna and Skylar. I was speaking with Dorian and Manon, discussing what to do about Aelin's recent disappearance, when a small portal is opened, and a sheet of stationary is dropped through. It says: From: Aelin Ashryver Whitethorn Galathynius on it in fancy print. I look and see who it is addressed to, and it says: To: The one and only Buzzard. I sigh and look at the words on the paper.
There will come a day when demigod meets demi-fae. Me and someone else
Water shall meet fire when the situation is dire. Me and someone else
A sacrifice must be made to complete the trade. ?
The flames will be gone, but they were just a pawn, ?
They will expand until she becomes the strongest in the land. ?
Unlock more to win the war, ?
When wisdom meets wind, an alliance will form. When you meet someone else
Just beware the lies for in comes a storm. Watch your back, we may have a spy.
Love,
Aelin Ashryver Whitethorn Galathynius
I show this odd prophecy that had the mighty Queen of Terrasen stumped to Manon and Dorian, who seem just as puzzled as I am. "What do you think this is talking about?" I ask. "I don't know," Dorian replies. At that moment, the two two year olds toddle into the event room. They were only one, but they also had witch blood in them, allowing them to be more powerful. They waddle over to their parents, who promptly pick the two princesses up. (A/N The two are polar opposites. Arkayna has dark black hair like her dad, and very sharp nails, while her twin, Skylar, has white hair, and rounded nails that are iron. The only thing the two have in common based on their looks is their eyes. They are both golden, with blue specks in them, sort of the opposite of Aelin's eyes. You may think that Arkayna is a Daddy's girl, and that Skylar is a Mommy's girl, but that is not the case. Skylar loves to be with her dad, and is sweet, kind, and understanding, just like her father. Arkayna on the other hand, is sassy, and tough like her mom. Even though the two are only 1, you can see a lot of their personality traits already shining through... back to the story...) Manon picked up Arkayna and Dorian picked up Skylar. They had their children immediately after the war with Erawan, Maeve, and the wyrdkeys. They felt that their time together was limited, and they wanted to make the most of it. So, they had Arkayna and Skylar. Aelin and I decided to wait until Terrasen had settled into their newly found government, but then the uprising started, and we decided we didn't want to risk Aelin and a baby getting killed, we mutually agreed to wait. Though the twins can be a pain, everyone loves the two princess. Arkayna is in line for the throne, having been born 1 minute before Skylar. This also helps explain her tough, leader-like personality. The two are now sitting on their parents laps, we start talking about Aelin's situation that we had come up with code words for them just in case the twins were to show up. (A/N code words are Flames: Aelin, sacrifice: explosion, Wyrd portal: magical star, Prophecy: magic paper) "The magic paper that was sent through the magical star stated that Flames would meet someone. It also stated that there would have to be an explosion. What could this mean?" I said. I could see Lysandra snickering behind her hand, and sent a glare in that direction. "We do not know whether the sac- I mean explosion is of a life, or something else, all we know is that the, uhm, magic papers are very confusing. I think we should just let this play out, see what happens, and watch each other's backs." Manon says, stumbling on some of the code words. "I agree, meeting dismissed." I tell everyone. Everyone immediately runs up to Manon and Dorian, cooing over Arkayna and Skylar. I head back to Aelin and my room and put my head in my hands. I make a soundproof air tunnel around me and let it all out. I cry into my fists and pray to the gods that Aelin, my Fireheart will make it home safe.
(A/N: I am sooooo sorry for such a depressing ending. I am also very sorry for not updating, but I am having this deadly disease called writers block! If you have any ideas, please feel free to add them in the description below. This story has two dedications for reasons I do not know if I am allowed to specify, but yes. Shoutout to those two amazing people. Recently, I have been reading a lot of Percabeth Selection, Percabeth Soulmate, and Percy Jackson Betrayed (Chaos) stories. Please check some of those out! I could not pick one, but if you are looking for a good read, and you are die hard Percabeth lovers, just look up Percabeth, and a bunch of awesome stories with awesome authors will be there waiting for you. I may (will most likely) be starting a new story on here. I will continue this, don't worry. I try to update once a week, mostly on weekends. Wow! This chapter has had the most words yet of my story yet!! 1560 words!! Yay!! Again, please comment, and as always,
Hugs,
Leah
