(I cannot count. 7 hours is not the equivalent to 11 days. Sorry. This is also a very lame bonus. I will hopefully be able to update in about 2 days. It will be a pretty good chapter, I think. I have been really busy lately, and have writer's block. I have already written the ending of this story, so I will definitely finish this it may just take a while. I am still a full time student and unpaid musician. This is very time consuming. I barely have time to spend time with my family, much less read and write. Nonetheless, if you have any ideas, please please please please please share them. Also, are there any character perspective requests? Do you want more Rowan? More of the unknown character? Random characters? Dedicated to obobwinner, Ms_tomato_potato and aneska420, Anyways, here we go.)
THE FIGHT (APHRODITE'S PROMISE)
Annabeth
It had been 5 months since the Gaea war, and Percy and I were bickering like usual, or so everyone thought.
No. This was something more. All of Percy's habits had made me really angry at him, and the same was to be said the other way around.
I was mad at him for starting to ignore Grover when he yells, "I have not! Grover is just really busy, I- I-," he trailed off.
"STOP!!" He yells at me, "You are manipulating me!!"
He then brings a wave of water from the beach and slams it into the ground right in front of me, splattering me with dirt, mud, and grime.
"You need help!" I screech at Percy.
"Maybe I do, but I am not finding it with you!!" He replies and sprints away.
That was when Percy left camp.
People searched for him for weeks, not quite believing he was really gone. I cried myself to sleep every night regretting what I had done to make him leave.
One day, I join one of the search parties, when I am met with an unforgiving sight, Percy was kissing a girl that was not me.
He was kissing a girl with curly brunette hair. She was twirling his hair between her fingertips and she had her legs wrapped around his waist. All I could do was stare in shock until my brain finally regained control and I ran off, tears streaming down my face.
I could taste the tear's saltiness as they entered my mouth which I immediately clamped shut to mute the scream emanating from it. I sobbed into my fist and clenched teeth thinking about what an idiot I had been, yelling at Percy, making him kiss another girl.
Suddenly, I heard a voice, "Wise Girl?" It was Percy.
"Go away," I cry, "Go back and kiss that... girl."
"What in the Hades are you talking about, Annabeth?" he says,
I look up at him with a tear stricken face and demand, "Perseus Jackson, look me in the eyes and tell me you were not just kissing another girl."
He looks me dead in the eye and says, "I did not just kiss another girl, I only ever want to kiss you."
That was all the confirmation I needed before letting him wrap me in his arms. He isn't lying, I think to myself, but I definitely saw him kissing another girl. My questions were answered a second later by the rest of the search party running into the clearing.
Jeff, a new camper and son of Hermes starts saying, "It was an illusion, it was Aphrodite. She is still questioning your love for Percy and--- Hey Percy! We have been looking for you for days!"
