*Sam's P.O.V.* In a coffee shop...

I unzipped my jacket as May and I were sat in a booth. May reached out to the hostess.

"Excuse me. There should be a man with brown hair, hazel eyes, and lightly toned skin coming soon. He's with us."

The hostess nodded then walked away. May slid into the booth next to me. She ran her fingers through her blazing red hair. She only ever did that when she was nervous.

I grabbed her hand. "Hey. Everything will be alright."

May looked at me then laid her head on my shoulder. She sighed. "I know. I just hope everything goes well."

"You're with these ladies?"

I looked over to see Benjamin with wide eyes then he relaxed.

"Yeah, I am." He was wearing a denim jacket with a black v-neck and blue jeans. He slipped into the booth across from us as the hostess left again.

Benjamin looked at May then me then back at May. "You didn't say that she'd be here, Matilda."

"I'm sorry Benjamin, but Sam really needed to talk to you."

Benjamin looked at me. He had bags under his eyes, and his hair was a mess. His cheeks were slightly sunken in too.

"What did you need to talk about?"

I leaned forward slightly. "Well, how have you been, Benjamin? Getting enough sleep? Eating well? Thinking about someone?"

He slightly sunk in the booth. May was right.

"I've been fine. Just stressed out." He adverted his eyes as he spoke.

He's lying...

"Well-"

"Hello! I'm Natalie, and I'll be your waitress this morning. Can I start you all off with some drinks?" The waitress smiled brightly as she spoke. She had short black hair with slight bangs. Her eyes were a light brown, and she was wearing an apron with the coffee shop's name, "Slam & Bake"  on it over her clothes.

I spoke first. "I'll just take a coffee light roast with a little sugar and a lot of creamer."

Natalie nodded then looked at May.

"I'll just take a water with lemon."

She nodded then turned to Benjamin.

"Just a water, please."

"Alright, I'll be back with your drinks." She smiled then walked off.

I looked back at Benjamin. "Look. I'm not gonna beat around the bush anymore." I whispered to Benjamin. "We know that you fell in love with Kylee."

He raised an eyebrow crossing his arms over his chest. "So what if I did?"

"Don't try to pay tough guy right now. It's obvious that you haven't been sleeping or eating well. Being with Kylee changed something in you. She was different from the other girls who you wanted. She sparked a passionate side of you that you never knew you had until you dated her." I sat back smirking. "And now that she's gone you can't go back to what you used to do because you can't stop thinking about her."

Benjamin exhaled heavily then ran his hands through his hair. "It doesn't matter now. She's with Matt now." He adverted his eyes again, but this time his eyes were filled with sorrow. "She's happy now."

"Benjamin-"

"Drinks!" Natalie appeared with our drinks. She placed then down in front of us one by one then smiled. "Is there anything else that I can get you all?"

Benjamin shook his head. May shook hers after.

I looked up at Natalie and shook my head. "No thank you. We'll just take the check."

"Alrighty then I'll be back then." She left. I looked back at Benjamin.

"What do I do then?"

"Talk to Kylee. Get closure. She'll listen if you reason with her."

"But she said-"

"Look, Benjamin we don't always mean what we say. Kylee was just upset. With time everyone forgives, and Kylee definitely is no exception to that."

He exhaled heavily then looked at me. "Can you talk to her first then?"

I shook my head. "No. You've gotta talk to her on your own."

"What if she doesn't listen?"

May got up, and I put a five dollar bill on the table. I got up then looked at Benjamin. He looked back up at me with a sea of emotions in his eyes.

"If she really loved you... She will. Also you should drink that coffee. Get some energy." I grabbed May's hand, and we walked out.

"Sam," I turned to May. "Do you really think Kylee will talk let alone listen to him?"

I exhaled. "She'll listen to him. Benjamin's a good kid. He just grew up following the wrong path."

May smiled then hugged my arm.

Benjamin, just follow your heart. Just be the real you, and Kylee will be reasonable. I slightly chuckled. Maybe even Matt too.
