Chapter 7

It was almost time for the rumble as Leo walked into my room.

"You going to the rumble?" He asked as I stood up fixing my jacket.

"Yeah I gotta help." I said.

"Ill be with Paul. Even though we both know I'm going on your side." Leo said.

"Okay I should get going be safe." I said kissing his cheek walking out.

I got there in no time to see Tim's and my gang.

At least I still think I'm in their gang.

I ran to them at full speed sliding on the dirt.

"Did I miss anything?" I asked.

"Nope right on time." Tim smiled at me.

"Jessie what are you doing here?" PonyBoy asked pulling me to the side only two feet away.

"I came to help Pony I belong with you guys." I said.

"I didn't mean to say those things back at the house. But I don't know what I said." PonyBoy said.

I sighed wrapping my arms around his shoulders.

"It's just that on my fathers side their super social if a greaser like you or me if they think I'm one will not have a good time there." I said.

"Than I won't have a good time as long that I'm with you." Pony said.

I blushed a deep red as cars started coming.

Pony pressed his lips on mine it lasted a good second until we pulled away.

"Paul." Darry said as I stood beside him.

"Darry. Montgomery aren't you suppose to be on our side?" Paul asked as my kind looked at me.

"It's not Montgomery. It's Cade." I said proudly.

The greasers cheered as I smirked.

"Jessie Michelle Cade." I said.

Someone threw a punch as the rumble began.

I sat on a chair as my grand mother helped my wounds.

"Darling what did you go to this rumble?" Grandma asked.

"I wanted to help. I didn't know my brother was going to die the same night." I cried.

Grandma sighed reaching over the counter grabbing something.

"Drink this you'll feel better in the morning." Grandma said.

I took off the cap and smelled it it smiled really weird.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"A remedy." Grandma said walking away.

I took a slip or two than shook my head madly as it tastes weirder.

I got up and walked into my room not even bothering taking off my clothes.

I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
