I began to gain consciousness again. I woke up with blood dripping down my face. I had a giant gash in the corner of my forehead, that was throbbing. I saw fingers on the floor, and part of the body hanging over the surface. I wanted to help, but my head hurt so much, that I was unable to get myself up. I was completely lost. Why was my head bleeding? Why was I in a ShopRite? What the heck is happening?!
I saw the fingers one by one fall off. I still had no idea what was happening. All the fingers eventually slipped off. As the last finger slid off the edge, I remembered everything. Subway. Skylar. Earthquake. Crack in the floor.
