Slowly, I gathered some strength in order to crawl, and then stand up, and then run to Skylar. I jumped as I clasped my hand around her hand, but it slipped away. I watched as Skylar fell into the Earth, but she grabbed on to a shelf, dug into the Earth.
"Hunter!!! Help me! I don't know how long I can stay like this!" Skylar yelled. Frantically, I searched for some rope, but I found a hose instead. I attached myself to the hose, and attached the other end to a secure counter near the butcher. My leg hurt like heck. I was pretty sure I got a broken a leg, but I will risk anything to save my girl.
My plan was to jump into the chasm, grab Skylar, and somehow get back up on top of the floor before we get eaten by the creature that is the earth. Oh god, I'm going to die.
