Chapter 4 : The Power of the Orb

It was a Saturday morning. Finn and I had just woken up and it was 11 am. "Finn! The science fair is going to start in an hour!" I exclaimed. "Aren't you serious? Come on, it starts in 20 minutes!" Finn said. We quickly had a shower and had our breakfast. Once we were done, Finn's mother drove us to the school. Once we were there, Finn told his mother that we might be staying in school over night. Of course she wasn't okay with this but Finn still said he was going to stay in school over night. Since he was best friend, I would stay in the school overnight for him. We went to the abandoned classroom and opened the door. It made a loud creak as we went in. The tables were smothered in dirt. The chalkboard was growing mould. I don't how that's even possible but it was there. After looking around for a while, we went to the wall with the oval shape on it. Finn started to push the wall and he felt a hollow spot. "Hmm.." he mumbled. "Soph, does this feel---" he stopped speaking. "What's wrong Finn?"I asked. He just stood there frozen looking at something behind me. As soon as I turned around, we were both stood frozen like ice blocks. In front of us, there was a hole. It wasn't just any hole. There was something in there. There was the black orb and around it , there were floating knives and symbol around it. Finn and I just stood there. In complete shock. I began to walk towards the hole. "Soph! Stop! It could be dangerous!" He exclaimed. I ignored him and touched the Orb. All of a sudden, the lights went out. Nothing happened. "See, Finn? Nothing even---" I was stunned. I was so surprised at how much could happen in one day. I looked to my right and I saw my hand,which was on the air. What really surprised me was that the table on my right was in the air as well! I put my arm down and the table went down as well. I lifted my arm and the table did the same. We started to chuckle but I was so amazed. "There's no way," I said in shock," I have telekinesis powers? No way this is impossible. Right Finn?"I asked. He had already went to the Orb and was touching it all over. "Finn what are you doing?" I laughed. "If you're gonna have telekinesis like,  then so am I!" He replied. He tried to lift a table, but he was unsuccessful. "Why won't it work?" He murmured. I told Finn that it might happen later. "Let's get out of here," he said so we both left. Or at least tried to. I tried to open the door  but it was locked. "Finn," I said, "the door's locked." I got a bit worried because you wouldn't want to be locked in a room with dirt particles for air. Finn's eyes started to go white. "Finn? Finn!" I exclaimed. I started to get all angry for some reason and I glared at the door for a few seconds and then it opened. Finn's eyes returned to its natural hazel colour and I sneeze. Probably from the dirt particles in the air. "Finn? Are you OK?" I asked anxiously. "Yeah of course. Why wouldn't I be?" He asked. He obviously doesn't remember anything about what just happened but u told him anyway. He was just as shocked as I was. We both ran out of that room as if it was about to blow up. We were outside, panting heavily. We ran back to Finn's house and as soon as we got back, Finn jumped on the couch. I took a seat, still panting heavily. Hours went by and it was around 7pm. I figures I should go back to my house so I wouldn't shouted at. So I said bye to Finn and told him that I would see him tomorrow.
